Well I am not going to do a whole write up. But I played the WHOLE game this time, being the new sliders were put in. I sometimes will super sim parts of the game, cuz I get bored. But I wanted to try these out.

I won 28-0.

I could tell a huge difference in the CPU's defense. I had to actually work to score, which was pleasant. I broke off some big plays, but Timmons finished with 23 carries and 92 yards. Nothing came easy. My defense Stifled them. Held them to 151 total yards, while I had 380 or maybe a lil less.

I had fun with these. Nebraska was A on all things. So even though they were 2-2, They were at home, and a good team so it made it tough. Now OU and Texas will be a different story, and I am a bit nervous lol. But overall, it will make the stats, and game much more sim I believe. We will eventually have to learn to take a loss to the CPU sometimes. Just a heads up.

I think if the amount of restarts increase, it may point to people not wanting to take a loss. But this is what we voted on.

Overall I enjoyed the game.

clev, how did your game with UCONN play out. I think I saw the score was 28-0 too or something like that. Did you feel the game made you work a little or did you let off the gas late in the game?

definately. normally i am half asleep when i play the cpu but i really worked hard for that. last time on the old sliders i beat them 44-10 without even trying. i think the biggest difference was the defense, it really made me work, i dont think i had a play over 20 yards. i know they didnt score but i also felt the offense was a bit better 2, its just my defense is the best. lol. if u dont believe me ask carlin , scott or k.lol.

Good deal, sounds like this may bring more of a challenge to CPU games.

I think we've got a legit combination of sliders now. I just beat Bama I think 35-6 but the game was much closer than you'd think. Through the 2nd quarter I was so frustrated because I just couldn't move the ball sometimes and I wanted to go up by 2 scores so I could feel comfortable. I forced a 3 and out (I must've made them punt on 4th and inches 5 times this game) then I took the ball and went out of a formaiton I was running a lot of Quick Pass from on the first play of drives and handed it off to my feature back freshman Marc Payne he took it right through the C gap, waited for a couple blocks outside and he was gone for 49 yards. Payne torched the Bama D all game - he proved he can be that 30 touch a game back. He gets winded MUCH less than Brandon Bolden did he can typically go for an entire drive if I mix run and pass well. He went over 150 and 4 scores which was very impressive IMO. He wore the defence down and I could tell late in the game I just had Bama's offence off stride. Starr Jackson would go to make a pass and I was reading plays well determining if it would be a pass or run early. I typically control a safety on defence, but this game I controlled either a LB or my freshman DT Warren who is BEAST and I think it kept my DBs in position more and if got a good throw off I would switch to one of them and knock it down or my FS Jeremy Thompson had a nice pick early. These sliders are tough, you have to set up plays and use a lot of the same formations to really be successful. I found early I was just going with plays that would work on the old sliders and they'd show blitz but drop into coverage. You also have to consistently change your gameplans, you can't just leave them. I think if ANYTHING CPU ability to break block could be toned down by 5 - I think we would then have the perfect sliders. A couple times just to see, I'd drop a LB to block on a punt return and more often than not he got LEVELLED by the outside CB who was playing contain on their punt team. Something to think about.

Oh and the restart was done immeidatley, I'd forgot to change my playbooks since the new file was up and I did kind of have to rush this game out while playing on the big screen.

Auburn pulls out the victory, and I like these sliders, agree it makes you work to score which is great...in the first game with Vandy I won 44-41, they scored a late TD to cut the lead so it looked closer then it was....in the 2nd game I won by a larger margin...but it was tougher for sure...it was interesting, Vandy first two offensive play's were INT...and I was thinking wow, this is just as easy....but then they got much tougher...and i agree, hope we don't see a bunch of restarts cause games are closer and people don't want to take a loss.
