| FSU holds on to the big win over the Irish, 31-17...was down 10-0 to start the game, not used to the Irish, and there triple option...and how many times does a QB that leads a team to a Natty Championship loses his job?...But enter the RS transfer from North Carolina, Tommy Raines who was shaky early, but settled down to lead the Seminoles to the season opeaning Win.. | |

| Coach 9's arrived in Corvallis 9 years ago determined to turn the Beavers back to their winning past. He's done it and then some. Oregon State has won the PAC-10 Championship 4 Times, countless top 10 finishes ,and a couple seasons ago even got into the BCS Championship. Look for more of the same this time around, with National Championship aspirations running rampant in Corvallis. Offense After four Years of Ryan Gates and Grant Harvey at QB, RS-SO Chris Richards is the only Beaver QB with any college experience. He spent the spring competing with RS-FR Power Stephenson, and RS-JR Mickey Perry and came out on top, but the competition is far from over. Whoever wins the QB job will be working behind a line with only 1 new starter. Junior RT Gavin Adams and Senior Lawrence Peters both return at both bookends. Experience is not a concern at RB either, where SR Calvin Watkins returns with his career 2,324 yds and 28 TDs. Both starters are back at the wideout position, and Reggie Rowe and Ricky Henry combined for 106 receptions 1,924 yds and 21 TDs. Returning Starting TE Matt Outlaw added 51 receptions for 665yds and 8 scores. Defense The no. 1 Defense in the nation last season, returns only 4 starters, but Heisman winner and All-American Michal Muse again is back to patrol the middle and bring the wood. "We're going to be dominant" predicted Muse " we're going to be a good defense. I think a lot of guys know it. We expect it out of ourselves too." The Dline is very young and green, but the Secondary returns both starting Safetys. Paul Jones finished second for the Thorpe award so expect the Beav's D to be buzzing once again this season! | |

| The #5 Beavers opened their season at home against the #24 Florida Gators, and came away with the victory, 42-23. If it wasnt for the All-American efforts of Michael Muse, the Beavs might have lost this game. Muse lead the way with 16Tkls 8TFL and 6 Sacks and 1 Forced Fumble. The Beavs D had 8 total sacks and 3 Ints, including a pick-6 on the final play of the game. RS-SO QB Chris Richards started out ok, but 2 late Ints and a couple errant passes later and he only completed 45% of his passes for 240 yards and 3TDs. Richards also scored on the ground and gained 71 yards on top of that. SR HB Calvin Watkins gained 113yds and 1 score, but he fumbled 3 times, that is totally unacceptable in Coach 9's book. All-American and Heisman canidate WR Reggie Rowe hauled in 10 receptions for 139 yards and a score. SR WR Ricky Henry struggled all game and had 6 drops! Offensive Stats OPOTG C Richards 18-40 240yds 3TDs 2Ints 5att 71yds 1TD HB C Watkins 22att 113yds 1TD 1rec 8yds WR R Rowe 10rec 139yds 1TD WR D Matthews 4rec 50yds 1TD 2KR 51yds 25.5avg TE M Outlaw 2rec 21yds 1TD Defensive Standouts DPOTG LB M Muse 16Tkls 8TFL 6Sacks 1FF LB K McNeil 14Tkls 1TFL 1DEFL SS S Johnson 12Tkls FS P Jones 10Tkls 1TFL CB B Fleming 7Tkls 1TFL 2Ints 42yds 1TD CB C Lamb 4Tkls 1Int DT R Anderson 4Tkls 2TFL DE R Cox 2Tkls 1TFL 1Sack DT B Fritz 1Tkl 1TFL 1Sack Next up for the #5 Beavs(1-0), the Kansas Jayhawks. | |

| Maryland pulls out close one over Tide
won 24-20... we got a long way to go... I think i have the ability to have a very balanced offense this season, IF my O line will play.... they looked very very weak today against Bama... Bama could have a very good D line though I dunno... but yea... the potential is there... but I dunno if the o line can develop fast enough unfortunately...

i tend to think jesse has somehow found a way to alter his ratings within the dynasty. i know it was late last night, and my eyes could've been playing tricks on me. but, these are the ratings i saw for muse: speed 97 agility 94 awareness 108 block shedding 122 play recogntion 118 man coverage 94 zone coverage 98 longsnapping 96 pursuit 141 throw power 97 throw accuracy 98 kill the fucking quarterback 173 just sayin.....
