The #6 Beavs had their home opener tonight against the Trojans of USC, USC played tough for a while, but the Beavs prevailed 42-10. RS-JR QB Power Stephenson made his 2nd consecutive start for injured starter Chris Richards, and he had a good day, completing 68% of his passes for 329 yards and 2TDs and 2Ints. RS-JR WR Danny Coleman led the team with 8 receptions for 130 yards and 2 TDs. RS-JR MLB Kirk McNeil had another "Muselike" game leading the Beavs in tackles with 7, including 7TFL, and 4 huge Sacks. Next up for the #6 Beavs, a much needed bye...When they come back from their bye they hit the road again for a 3 game road stand. Hopefully Starting QB Chris Richards will be back! in another injury note: starting CB RS-SR Darnell Cummings will be out of action for up to 4 weeks with a torn pectoral.

Nebraska finds new offensive playmaker as they win 45-14 and take the Missouri-Nebraska Bell for third consecutive year. Freshman running back Michael Washington saw the first action of his career and had 23 carries for 105 yards and 3 touchdowns while the other part of two headed monster at running back, Melvin Pittman had 18 carries for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns. Keith Causey also continued to look very comfortable in the pocket after taking over for senior Jamal Culver going 15 for 25 for 190 yards and a touchdown. He also threw an interception but was a very good play by the defense. Greg McCloud is the best tight end in the nation - aught 4 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. Led on defense by sophomore MLB Brian Scott who had 11 tackles. EVERYBODY saw playing time.

Joe Gonzales slipped at times, threw 4 picks on the day all very impressive plays by the defence.

"When you get 1 on 1 deep, you've been succesful throughout the game in those situations, you obviously want to get the ball out to your playmakers... unfortunately the Vols made a few big plays on me," Gonzales said.

The Dawgs came away with the 3 point overtime victory in their second trip to overtime this year. WR Jerome Salas whose having a breakout freshman campaign was joined by his brother, backup QB Tyler Salas calling the plays when Gonzales was benched in the third quarter. Tyler lead the team in rushing and had a 70+ yard scamper out of Wildcat that solidified the momentum in the Dawgs favour until the Vols tied it up late.

Good defence forced a missed field goal and a chip shot field goal sealed the victory for the Dawgs.

Heads up here, I have started my game, and am leading 45-21 in the 3rd Quarter.

I have to run into town for a little while. If I come back and I have been d/c I will post that I have to restart. Hopefully it will stay on.

Alright I was able to finish.

Won 59-21

Freaking Starting QB is out for 3 weeks. Was about to take him out of the game as the fourth quarter was about to start...arrrghhh

Im kinda worried haha, he hasnt even been on the forums, very unlike Ax....

I've been in contact with him a bit, he's apparently had an insane weekend - lots of work, assuming everyones partying for the weekend festivities. I know he started early like Weds/Thurs and said he's swamped all weekend. I'd be surprised if he didn't have a post up when I get home from work tonight at 6.

Luv...I just read on NCAA Strat...and you mentioned you were getting a advanced copy, so you should have initial rosters named at least by the launch date...

Is this true?.,....and if so this is awesome...means we can get started very soon after people get the game. WoooHOOO

hey fella's just checking in...been away from computor for a couple of days...i will be heading home monday to and able to get my game in MON night around 6 PST....hope everyone having a nice weekend

it is what i have been told by the folks at Tradition Football.....so depending when I do get the game...it is a distinct posibillity that I will indeed be done by launch or soon after....but as for now its a wait and see approach
