#23 West Virginia Mountainers BIll synder is out for the title. but hey with speedster Noel Devine who has game changing speed anything can happen. The offense looks loaded and can score 50+ on anyteam. How can any body stop them. The 5th year senior Reed Williams in the Middle of the D teams wont be scoring much on these boys this year. West Virginia is our prediccted Winner

#26 Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Greg Shiano may be deeply regreting all of the job offers he turned down two years ago, he may be searching after the year is over. We predict that th knights will struggle greatly espically on the offesnive side of the ball they are extremly young and will porbably make an enourmous amount of mistakes. if they expect to win the Big Eaast it will be defensivly. It will be hard for them to climb the polls fast with their weak non conferance schedule that consist of two FCS teams. They are really going to have to impress people. Rutgers D will depend on Devin Mccourty to keep the Knights in contetion.

#27Florida Bulls South Florida is a team we see as great athletes but they dont do much with the talent, but they are really good all the way around. Mat Grothe is the key man this year it all depends on how he preformes if he makes msitakes they wont be able to get out of any holes. on the defensive side they are very solid with George Selvie and Nate Allen, those two can make or break what type of year theyll have. south Florida seems to be pumping great recruits in ike nothing they will contiue to be a force in the Big East. Like Rutgers Usf has a weak schedule with 2 FCS teams and Western Kentucky, not to impresive if you ask me.

#31 Pittsburgh Panthers In coach Petersens First year as head coach he looks to achieve greatness here. His option attack will take his teams to great victories. they are lead by true freshmen QB Kolby Gray and True Freshmen RB Dion Lewis these two will show just what typer of year the panthers can have. Pitt looks to ware teams down physically and mentally. we think that it will come down to Pitt, Wvu, and Cincy for the tittle. The Panther Defense is good too lead by Junior Greg Romeus RE. if they can get a good pass rush from him no one will be able to gain any yards through the air. Turnovers will be the main thing for the Panthers this year if they can avoid them it will be a pitt dream season.

#42 Conneticut Huskies This year we view the Huskies as an average team. they are decnt everywhere there the team that is really well coahed and you can just see that in a few years this team will be at the top, just not this year. average is a good word to describe them, just average everywhere. their sucsess will depend on Jordan todman their starting Sophmore RB. he has gamebreaking speed. THe Huskies are a team not to be taken lightly, if you sleep on them they will u[set you. as for the D the playmaker there is Linebacker Lawrence Wilson a junior. the huskies will have a rollercoacter year with ups and downs. But again we have another big east team with a weak non conferance as Uconn plays two Fcs teams if this conferance wants respect they may want to play some of the big boys and stop pickin on the little guys.

#59 Cincinnati Bear Cats
The bearcats come in to the season ranked 59th in the nation. we think that that ranking is absolutly absurd. they are coming off an orange bowl victory with their startin QB and WR coming back at leat put them in the top 40. they offense looks to be very high powerd this year with Gilyard and Pike running the show only problem is that the top 7 starters are seniors they must recruit hard and long. The D is not to be taken lightly eThier with AAROn Webster at FS running the show if he can force turnovers The bearcats can have great sucess. Finaly we find another team side from PItt who Schedules to have compettion. Thet play Arizona, Florida State, Oregon STAte, Boise State, and NOtre Dame. Who are all proven contenders in the NCAA. I think this tough Schedule wll be to hardfor the bearcats to make a good run into January.

#67 Louisville CardinalsThe cardinals come into the season as one of the two underdogs this season, their talent isnt great so they will have to make due with what they have. Steve kragthorpe is on the hot seat as if they dont win this year adios amigo. if the cardinals have and sucses this season ts going to be behind the legs of Sophmore RB Victor Anderson. the D is what is going to kill the cardinals. they will have to play in a shootout almost every game. the syracuse game in our minds is the game that will determine last place in the Big East.

#82 Syracuse Orange okay syracuse is our upset pick of the year! yeah okay not really, honestly they suck i dont know if ernie Davis could come back and help this team, because apparently greg Paulus thinks he can. And ya know maybe he can bu most likely not. Arthur JOnes DT and MIke Jones WR are the two only quality players on this team these two are players now! but the only problem is that there aare 2o other players that have to play. basically the year depends on these two young men.

Affter the first two weeks of big east play we already have four winless teams including WVU. now thats shocking but The Pittsburgh Panthers are ranked #21 in the nation. we have had one confernce game between Rutgers and Cincy. The bearcats killed from start to finish, it was no contest.

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati football player Drew Frey was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for the week 5, the league office announced Monday.

Frey, who has been starting in place of the injured Pat Lambert recorded 7 tackle and also had an interception in Cincinnati's big win against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish last week. The win improved Cincinnati's record to 5-0 (1-0) and moved them from 22 in the polls to 18.

The Bearcats have the bye this week before heading to Tampa to face the 4-1 USF Bulls in a key conference game which could have real Big East title ramifications. The football game can be seen on WKRC-TV (Channel 12) in Cincinnati.

Cincinnati Achieves Highest Ever Ranking

CINCINNATI, Ohio-- The University of Cincinnati football team moved up in rankings after a 44-10 away win over South Florida at Raymond James Stadium on Saturday, with the program achieving its highest ever weekly ranking.

The Bearcats (7-0) check in at No. 7 in the Associated Press poll and No. 7 in the USA Today Coaches poll. UC’s previous best ranking in all polls was No. 12. The Bearcats ranked No. 12 in the AP, USA Today, and Bowl Championship Series Standings entering the 2009 FedEx Orange Bowl. UC also held down the No. 12 spot in the AP poll on Nov. 8, 1954.

Cincinnati Bearcats starting quarterback Tony Pike was arrested and charged with driving under the influence early this morning.

Cincinnati coach Clevmire1 has announced that Pike has been suspended indefinitely from the team and will not play for the No. 7 Bearcats against Syracuse on the weekend at the Carrier Dome

Clevmire1 says he is "stunned" by Dunlap's actions.

"Tony obviously made a very poor decision," Clevmire1 said. "I have not spoke to him or his family yet. He's not going to play. But I want to visit with him and his family first and go from there."

Clevmire1 acknowledged that the situation will be a distraction as his team prepares for a conference game that could have title implications. But he also said his players will be able to overcome it.

Pike, a Senior from Cincinnati, Ohio., was arrested at 1:25 a.m. near campus and was booked into the jail at 3:52 a.m., Cincinnati Police Department spokesman Lt. Mitchell King said.

He was released on his own recognizance about six hours later during his initial appearance at the Hamilton County Jail. Judge Rory Hansell admonished Pike for driving under the influence, and said he cannot possess alcohol, illegal drugs or prescription drugs that are not prescribed for him.

He was told not to drive a motor vehicle without a license, and if caught driving without a license, he would violate the terms of his release. The judge released Pike without bond because he has no prior adjudications and no failures to appear in court.

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati football player Zach Collaros was named the BIG EAST offensive Player of the Week for the week 9, the league office announced Monday.

Collaros, who has been started in place of the suspended Tony Pike finished with 22 completions from 37 attempts 329 yards through the air and 19 on the ground with 5 total touchdowns in Cincinnati's big win Syracuse last week. The win improved Cincinnati's record to 8-0 (3-0) and moved them from 7 in the polls to 4.

The Bearcats hit the road this week to take on the 6-2 West Virginia Mountaineers. The football game can be seen on WKRC-TV (Channel 12) in Cincinnati.
