| Well Week 8 is allready here if you can believe it our season is almost half way done. AGAIN. I know, what will we have an entire season done in less than two weeks this go around? Awards, Bowl Games and the general direction teams are going are all becoming clearer and despite the influx of undefeated user records - I hope the late user match-ups will make things more interesting. One things for sure it's almost GUARENTEED you'll have a user game in your Bowl Bids this season with a mass ammount (assuming) at 1 loss. Crazy. GOTW #5 Iowa @ #21 Ohio State - Iowa looks to quiet a loud crowd at the Horseshoe despite the Bucks not really being very impressive within the past couple years - they still have the fan base to make it a tough game for a young offence lead by Soph RB Nate Johnson who was the early leader for the Heisman Award but was left off this week. He's amassed 866 yards on the ground and 8 scores in a well balanced offence that features Junior RB Brandon Wegher in the goalline. WR Keenan Davis has more receiving yardage than all other players combined at Iowa so if the Bucks want to win this one they'll look to shut him down and keep a close eye on Johnson. The Hawkeyes won't win any awards defensively because their core is so well balanced and allows everyone to get in on the action. Plenty 20+ tacklers allready this season. #8 Kansas @ #19 Oklahoma - Tough Big 12 matchup for Coach Santana in testing the new measure of talent in this league. Santana's offence goes into a hostile environment like Memorial Stadium with a freshman QB leading his offence despite the overall conception that with Kale Cooper going pro Santana's O would be lead by Junior QB Jordan Webb. Santana's gone with young Nick Charles who has almost 20 TDs without reaching even 5 INTs this season so far. Ed MAC TRUCK McIntyre continues to impress on a national stage coming in last season as one of the biggest impact recruits and Santana took a lot of slack for redshirting him for a year. The year to study the offence has seemed to pay off because if it were to be measured up until this point in the season - MAC TRUCK would be the second freshman to take home the award. HEISMAN RB Ed McIntyre KANSAS Mac Truck as they're calling him in Kansas has went over the 750 yard mark allready this season with 14TDs in a typical "pass heavy" offence by Coach Santana. The play calling hasn't changed, just the production from the back who is up over 14 yards per carry. This kid is a nightmare to bring down and if you let him outside, you'll be looking at the name on the back of his jersey CERTAINLY. RB Caleb Porzel MARYLAND Coach Hickerson's been talking about this kid since day one but Caleb Porzel now has spoke for himself. The human highlight reel lead his Terrapins to a big 31-14 victory over the Memphis Tigers last week with a 21 carry 171 yard 3TDs preformance. Caleb is his teams best player and everyone looks to none other when they talk about a teams homerun threat. RB Alan Timmons TEXAS CHRISTIAN Timmons took the ball and ran with it this season - literally. He's made the Texas Christian power running offence literally not skip a beat despite losing last seasons Heisman winner - Matthew Tucker. Timmons had one of the quietest games of the season last week but still put up impressive 23 carry 92 yard 2TD, 3 catch 45 yard 1TD preformance. Vincent Jackson JR AUBURN Vince Jackson may have very well made the list this week simply based on his speed and talent. He's not UNPREFORMED but there's certainly other candidates who could make a case that they should be in the list. Either way you look at it, VJJ has 604 yards and 14TDs and is by far the fastest player in the nation. Noteable Mentions RB Nate Johnson IOWA Johnson was among the leaders on this list the entire season and he took a hit and was left off of ESPNs version of this week despite having 866 yards allready this season. Nate may have very well taken a hit because many of the goalline situations have been handed to Brandon Wegher. RB AJ Blue NORTH CAROLINA AJ Blue has taken the majority of this seasons carries despite the Tarheels being a dual back type of O. He's over 700 yards with 738 and 14TDs. RB Marc Payne MISSISSIPPI Marc Payne has brought a new element to a Rebels offence that were worried if they could replace their three-time All American back current NFL Rookie - Brandon Bolden. Rebel Nation wondered who it would be to step up and replace Bolden and Coach Macc insists nobody is possible of doing that - instead Payne has given the Rebels a new style of back that's been VERY successful thus far and he is one of many more than deserving of some credit here. Payne's over the 800 yard mark with 874 and 14TDs. WR Jamie Ivey ILLINOIS Jamie Ivey's been the Fighting Illini big home run threat for two years now and he's getting all the attention and consideration but he somehow missed the list this week. Ivey has amassed 794 yards receiving this season with 8TDs and he is a big homerun threat with Blue Chip speed and 6'5 height.

| Looks like with the new sliders playing tougher. Kansas and Iowa may have work a little this week As for my game with Iowa State. TCU Rolls 40-10. ISU only TD came off a pic 6. My defense once again played stellar. Timmons went for 143 yards and 2TDs Backup RB was back Wesley, and eased his way in with 12 carries for 50 yards and 1 TD WR Dawson is electric with the ball. One carry and an 80 yard TD that sparked a 23 point 2nd qtr which put the game out of hand. These sliders are still tough. I still had to work for everything. Only gripe is I have a terrible kicker, and the CPU gets awesome starting field position on kickoffs lol. Future note to whoever plays me this year. If I am outside the 20 yardline I am going for it on 4th down. My kicker cannot kick it that far for a FG. I have missed against the CPU testing my two kickers out. They are both TRUE FROSH and dont have the leg yet. Just an FYI | |

| Buc that going for it on 4th is somethng you'll have to work out with your opponent. I know if we meet in a bowl game that won't be acceptable in my books. Everyone wil have to use freshman at every position it's part of the game. Also I don't want to see an influx of you going for it on 4th aganst CPU. Cmon. | |

| You serious Macc? What else am I supposed to do when my kicker cannot get it to the goalpost from outside the 20?
No team in real life would punt. They would gamble and try to get it. Obviously if it is 4th and a mile I would punt and not be dumb bout it that way. But if it is 4th and reasonable outside the 20 then I would try to call a play that would get a 1st. Instead of just giving up the ball.
I don't see anything wrong with that.

| We both know it's not sim. That's a rule I'm not going to let up on. If your opponent asks you not to do that - you must honour that that's all I'm saying. And yes I'm dead serious about it. I've used a freshman kicker in this OD. Why would we let just you go for it on 4th because "your kickers don't have the leg". Sorry but maybe you shouldve recruited a better kicker. | |

| So what did you do in that situation if your kicker could not make a 35 yard FG? Punt into the back of the endzone? | |

| How would it be one of our faults that you're kicker isn't good enough bro? If you beat me coz on 4th and outside the 20 you got to go for it I wouldn't have a working ps3 controller. Cmon man that's the most rediculous request I've ever heard. | |

| If I really hadthat little faith in my kicker (which I've never even come CLOSE to) then yeah I would kick it away if I wasn't down or felt like punting it to them could give them the last possession of the game where they could win. Obviously down in the 4th you're free to do w/e. | |

| Ok lol. Well me and my opponents will have to agree on a ruling before we play.
It wasn't really a request. I have seen plenty of games where a coach has no faith in the FG kicker and if the down and distance is feasible then he dials up a play, and leaves that lonely little kicker on the sideline. Obviously if its in the 4th and a tight game I will go for it. Early in the game it would be different. I should have re worded my side-note to let people know that with the sliders adjusted on the kicking game, my kicker is really really terrible now.

| And if your opponent agrees to go for it whenever by all means. But if somebody doesn't think that's fair and would be happy to stop your high powered for just 3 downs I ask you respect and honor that - that's all. | |

| O my bad, I thought the sliders that ax posted in the slider discussion was the ones we were using, now looking at them, looks like they were tinkered with a little bit.
Would you post the new sliders that you have put in, even if it was just a 5-10 point change?
