OD Rules Discussion

Read the rules and don't like something going on? Come here and explain why! I want this OD to be just as much commish'd by all of you as it is me. Don't be shy let me know!

looking forward to a great OD...how many coach's are you looking for, what roster are you going to use?

I'm looking for 12 users including myself. I only want top-notch members who will CONTRIBUTE to the OD, not guys who are going to complain or be inactive around here. I think it's important for users to comm. as much as possible when running these so I'm trying to engage that before I send any invites. I will look at a couple rosters but I've got BlockO's and as a Trojan fan he nailed it down PAT. Then again, I know they're a rather popular team so I'll do some reesearch about one of the league's less prestigeous teams and figure out whose is best. Any reccomendations?

I'm with you, I would rather wait, and get 10-12 dedicated owners who are in it for the long haul...nothing worse then getting to wk 2 and have folks fizzle out....this guy has a good set of rosters PSN Luvtotha9s...As long as Toby Gerhart is a beast, and Andrew Luck is the next John Elway I'm good

I hated Ryan Mallet when he was at Michigan (loyal buckeye here) cuz I knew he was talented and would lead em to big things under "2 loss Lloyd" lol. But since he transfered I love that he's with Bobby Petrino. He made Brian Brohm a great college QB imagine how good Mallet will be by the time he's a senior . Idk who's gona be in the SEC east but I'll see them in the conference championship game!!!! Mallet for Heisman!!!!

Macc, have you had a chance to check out luvtotha9s rosters? His rosters are by far the most accurate that I have come across. Not just the big name schools either. Which is pretty important considering we will be using 4* schools or less.

I haven't yet I will first thing when I get back from some errans today. We'll be using them 100% tho because that's what a couple of you have asked for!

Macc, I didn't see any restrictions on recruiting or on swaying underclassmen from going pro.

I feel like we should have a limit on scholarships and 5* recruits - I suggest the Seniors leaving + 3 rule for scholarships and a maximum of 5 Five Star recruits.

I also think that if a JR, JR (RS), SO (RS) decides to go pro and he is either rated > 95 OR > 90 and won a major post season award, that users shouldn't be allowed to talk them into staying.

What do you guys think?

whats your thought process on when the adv's are ? i vote for 3 times a week like:tues thurs sat or wed fri sunday
or even every 3 days adv.
just a suggestion cause i'm in 4 other od's and it can get pretty crazy when you have 5 games to play in 2 days time

I'm not going to sim anyones game past the deadline if they tell us when they get it in. I'll put the deadline EACH week on the weekly section (ie Week 7 - Topic Week 7) I don't want to set a schedule because my left is often hectic and I don't want to make guarentees I can't keep. So I'll put a soft deadline on each first post of the new week.

I know for sure weekends are going to be open, I'll try advancing on Friday afternoon/evening but honestly - my weekends are crazy sometimes I'm away from my PS3 from Friday at 4pm until Monday morning.

The key here is communication! You need some time to get your game in? That's fine just LET EVERYONE KNOW! I don't want to be a nazi about advance times but I understand that some users get pissed.

As for recruiting limits, I won't LIMIT the ammount of five stars a team can recruit but I think the ammount of seniors leaving +3 is a good rule. I'll look it all up later and post, anyone else?

Hay men sry about all the delay it looks like they may let us go tomarow but if they do it would prob be late or it may be sunday ={ they think she may have pneumonia she gets another xray in am will let know if we will leave tomorow or sun

It's mac's call but if he didn't mind i can do it sunday cuz i work 8am to 2pm eastern and the slate of NFL games isn't that good besides Colts vs Ravens and my Redskins vs the Cowboys which are 1pm games lol so u gona wait mac or do you need me to play vs Eagle team in autopilot to keep the OD moving along? let me kno cuz I'll be able to get my game in before work today...ill keep checkin the forum between playin modern warfare 2...which i will call the best FPS shooter (even though I never really played em outside of Halo 2) and I haven't even been able to pick up the sticks yet I was stuck doing late hw assignments yesterday and had to sit through my bro playin it lol

I'll keep checking the forum as well. It's an important user game and I haven't gotten grief about advancing so just try to get it done ASAP. I don't mind advancing late tonight or tommorow just make sure you post on the week one thread the minute the games done. Whether it's a recap or just the results or just to let us know it's been played and we're good to go.

And DMT holler at me when you see me online we'll get some games in. You said you got a mic right? There's some valuable information you could use with the experience I've had thus far in the game. I'll let you know which guns and perks are good to mix up and some nice strategies to think about. I gotchu

I've been testing the sliders and so far I like them and they are working good but the one i've noticed is average kickers are able to kick it into and out of the endzone easily so perhaps tone that down a little.

I agree I'll tone it down a bit. I've been having some CRAZY games lately with these sliders. In my other OD as B+ #10 Oklahoma State I was in the Bedlam Bowl with Oklahoma and it went deeeep into overtime despite my 14-0 lead less than two minutes in. I swear the two minute drill on these sliders is sooo hard to defend against.

Yeah the two minute drill can be tough to defend lol I haven't really seen much bombs from the kickers on kickoffs though...i did see a kicker miss a 21 yard fg off the uprights in our other OD lol...and yeah Mac if me and Eagle get our game in tomoro I'll be on it afterwards lol i work 8am to 2pm so it'll be in the afternoon lol

Ok cool. Ya i've noticed that to but I'm not sure if it's the sliders or if it's just the game I have found that the cpu seems to get miraculously better whenever it matters most on any sliders.

Macc what are we going to do about players leaving early. Like me personally I could easily have 5 or 6 guys leave early. Are we going to be able to get all extra scholarships for these guys or what because i'm pretty sure nobody wants to get stuck with a bunch of walk-ons
