| The #5 Oregon State Beavers demolished the Trojans of USC today, 59-7. Jamar Lane continued to show why he is considered one of the best running backs in all of college football with his 280 yard 3 touchdown performance with a long TD run of 87. QB Gates completed 70% of his passes and tossed two Touchdowns and no Ints. The Beavers D held the USC offense to 166 total yards of offense, while the Beavers O ran up 635 yards of total offense! In injury news: Starting WR Jesse Gilbert will be out of action for 4 weeks with an abdominal strain, Gilbert leads the Beavs in Receptions(24), receiving yards(471) and receiving Touchdowns(6). | Terps survive out of conference top 10 battle to remain unbeaten
Auburn, AL - Maryland traveled to number 6 Auburn this Saturday and came away with a very hard fought and much deserving victory 26-20. The loss drops Auburn to 4-2 and improves the Terps to 6-0. Auburn led 7-3 after 1 quarter on a 61 yard pass to J. Flanagan from C. Williams. Maryland then used a huge second quarter to take a 24-14 lead to the locker room. The play of the game came right before the half. After Maryland scored Auburn got the ball with about 45 seconds left, instead of taking it to the locker roomtrailing 17-14, they wanted more. Perry Hall interceptd a forced pass from Williams and took it to the house for his second interception return in as many games with only 2 seconds remaining on the clock to give Maryland a 10 point lead at the break. It was a stellmate in the third quarter, with both defense trading blows. Auburn would get a touchdown, but miss the extra point early in the fourth to make it a 24-20 game. The teams traded a couple of three and outs, and Maryland punter Brett Banks, who downed 4 inside the 10 last week, downed a punt at the 1 with only a minute and 18 seconds showing on the clock. The Terps defense came out fire up and picked up a safety to make it a 26 to 20 lead and seal up the game.
The Terps offense was led by the hard running of Jason Bennett who had 27 carries for 137 yards, but did not find the endzone. Backup running back Jeremiah Coleman had 1 carry on the day, for 1 yard, but it was a big one down on the goal line for a touchdown. Quarterback Mitchell Hopkins had a quiet day going 12 for 23 for 101 yards and a touchdown, but also went his thrid straight game without throwing an interception. His favorite target was tight end Kris Lewis who had 3 catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. Also noteworthy again this week, Brett Banks downed 4 of his 7 punts inside the 20, and 2 inside the 10. Banks has become quite a weapon for the Terps the last couple of weeks.
"I really love this group of guys, we dont have the star power per say on this team, and I like it that way right now, we have a group of 65 guys who put everything they got into this football team and it shows up on Saturdays," Said Coach Jeff Hickerson.
Next week the Terps tavel to Miami to resume ACC play.

| Iowa wins 17-6
Fuck this game...I got screwed in this one royally.
End of half..running a 2 minute drill...guy gets tackled out of bounds..15 seconds left...game decides that I didn't go out of bounds..clock expires on me before I can do anything, I was in FG range. down 10-6 at the time.
Then..in the 3rd quarter..driving..my bet WR streaking down the sideline...decides to try an do some fancy catch shit...drops it..which would have put me 1st and 10 inside the 20. Instead I have to punt, then I get pounded by the Maryland I the rest of the second half...
As you can tell I am quite pissed off. I played exactly how I planned this game, and still couldnt over come the BS that happend.
BTW good game scotty, was a nail biter for sure
going to advance. | |

Just got under my skin some of the BS that happened in the game. no worries, i understand the frustration....sometimes i don't get how EA mess up things like clock stopping, ball spots, fumbles etc....the one I really don get is when i hve the ball on my on 30 and it's 4th and 8 and the advice the CPU/Corso suggest is to go for a fake punt....or then the CPU has the ball and it's 4th and 2 and there option is to either try a 50 yd fg or go for it and then they come out and punt it?
