Bored...Lets Talk Ncaa 2011 Set-Up

So its been thrown around that in choosing our teams for 2011, we would do a tier system. I Like it, and I will post a poll if thats something that we want to do.

Here is what has been discussed, Chris and I have talked in more detail about it, than I have with others. Cokan likes the idea as well.

Tier 1- Have to pick a 2* team (Goat, Cokan)- possibly Me if I was to win another title before the game releases

Tier 2- Me, Chris, Ax - Must pick a 3* team or below

Tier 3- Luv, Titan, Macc, Fox, Ggang- Can pick a 4* team or below


We can decide on who should be where by release date, this was just a rough estimate. We obviously know that Goat, and Cokan have been top players. So they are good there. Tier's 2 & 3 can be debated if needed.

So what do you guys think of this system of picking teams. Vote in the Poll, and also post some of your thoughts as the game is nearing...and looks like Jesse might get the game early, and we can start pretty quickly after it releases, if wanted. I will be playing the crap out of the demo to get used to the new game.

I voted yes, like the idea of tier system...and can't wait to get another OD going with 2011

i like the idea... should make things more even n fun n harder for the big dogs to stay at the top..i am in favor.. only thing is this whole thing could shake up with the game and the new mechanics n stuff.. but i like the idea of basing off of what we have done here..

We've got to make sure our picks coincide with conference rivals...

Are we going to go with the big 5 again? SEC, ACC, PAC 10, BIG 10, BIG 12...?

I think we are under the assumption that custom conferences will be in the game again, and if so we'll put any team outside of the major conferences into the BCS ones.

Like Ax wants Hawaii, and he will put them in the Pac-10

I am thinking Fresno St for me, and we'll put them in the Pac-10 also.

lol, guess i should have read the enitire thread....good point macc...it will be interesting, and fun to draft our teams

also, I would say yes to your question Macc...2 teams per conference again.

If and when Jesse gets the game early, he'll be able to let us know which teams are what calibre... I'm assuming a big change lots of teams making a jump and hopefully they make 6* more exclusive to the prestigeous programs that have been successful recently. I wouldn't be upset to see USC drop to a 5 or 4*, I'd actually be impressed.

I'm very interested to see were teams come in at...and assuming we go tier picking here is my rough guess on order..
1. Coke 2* or lower
2. Goat 2*
3. Bucc 3*
4. Gruden 3*
5. K 4*
6. 9's 4*
7. Macc 4*
8. Titan 4*
9. gGang 4*
10. Megan 4*

*Teams like Michigan, SC, ND etc will probable never be below 5* to start out

OT...how does everyone feel about possible using team builder to tweek are unifoms...and recreate roster to match 9's exactly and prestiage ratings?

I think it would be cool, but alot of effort. I think we keep it simple. And just go with it.

O i know you go to school there, they are a good program to start with. But they will be below 4* I would imagine. If your willing to take them, they will start out as a 2* maybe...

they were a 1* this year

Yea I want one of my 2 teams, Florida will be too high, so therefore I want mt... think it would be really fun to play with them

I might hop into the Big 10 with Michigan State. But I may eventually end up picking the 4* with the best uni's. I'm sick of UGAs. Any games I simmed for Ax I couldn't BELIEVE the selection in unis. Yes yes I know I pay too much attention to minor detail.

Or we COULD just seperate the teams by States/Reigons. More user games (3-4 per season) to get used to it. One thing that slowed me down in NCAA10 - far too few user games until about halfway thru this OD. I know for a fact this game will be a relearning experience.

i would honesty suggest 5 user games a season im going to be playing the shit out of 11 i dont think there are any 2* teams i like i think im going to roll with tulsa unless i can find some other team i like better
