| Breaking news out of South Bend
South Bend, IN - After news broke Jeff Hickerson had became the head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, one of the most prestigious coaching jobs in the country, after only having mediocre success at Middle Tennessee State University in a weak Big East conference, many people wondered why? Rumors are swirling around South Bend that the reason goes beyond coaching, there are many rumors flying that Coach Hickerson has direct relations with several recruits that Notre Dame was very high on and those recruits named Hickerson as a man they were very close to and knew very well. Sources have not identified the recruits, nor have they stated if this would be breaking any rules laid out by the NCAA. We will have more, if there is more to bring. | |

| Notre Dame holds off Horned Frogs, 2-0
The Fighting Irish and Coach Hickerson improved to 2-0 on the year with a 23 to 16 win over TCU Saturday. "We did not play well at all, not at all, we missed a ton of tackles, not sure what the deal was, we would get there, but then just let them run through our tackles, and the quarterback play was well below average, made several terrible decisions and it cost him two interceptions, turnovers are bad and that must be corrected, turn the ball over and eventually you will lose," said a frustrated Hickerson after the game. Dominique Jones did play below his ability level, going 8 for 155 for 160 yards and 1 touchdown, but he did throw the 2 interceptions Hickerson alluded to. The run game was decent, not great, starter Dylan Parrish left the game at the beginning of the 4th after his 10th carry, he finished the day with 58 yards and a touchdown. Backup Chad McKinney did well, running 8 times for 39 yards. The offensive star of the day was senior wide out Joe Davidson, 3 catches for 103 yards and a 75 yard touchdown grab. "It was a simple hitch route, Nique threw me the ball, the defender overplayed the tackle, I took off," said Davidson of his touchdown grab. Defensively the Irish were impressive, minus the missed tackles Hickerson brought up, they had a very balanced team effort. Five guys had at least 6 tackles. They also had 3 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles which resulted in 4 turnovers, which really helped to bail out Jones's mistakes at quarterback. Next week the Irish will host the number 20 Spartans of Michigan State.
