Metairie, Louisiana is home to Lamar Herron, who is quickly emerging as a high school phenom athlete. The Rivals #4 rated QB this season remains in the shadow of Rayne, LA's Gabe Wade - who is the #1 QB and consensus 6th overall ranked player but Herron says he's out to prove that he'll be the best QB not only out of Louisiana but of the entire class. Herron this week ended his recruitment accepting the offer from Georgia on his week five visit after dropping the jaws of any scouts who got to see this kid run drills. Throwing with pin point accuracy, amazing arm strength, possessing the ability to move well in the pocket, the agility to make guys miss and the ability to take punishment on a college level have scouts marveling over this kid. A perfect recruit to sign for the Bulldogs who will be replacing senior starter Rory Thatcher.

"Lamar's a great kid whose decided to end this recruitment this week. We really wanted him because if you have had a chance to see the kid play, you'll understand he's by far the most college ready QB this year and argueably one of the most impressive I've seen in recent memory. Lamar will be a four year starter at UGA," Coach Macc said.

LAMAR HERRON ****
Quarterback (#4 QB, 41 on ESPNU150)
Metairie, Louisiana
Metairie High

Ht: 6'2
Wt: 207
40: 4.64
GPA: 2.67

Scouting Report
On The Hoof - Herron possesses terrific size and structure to play pocket QB at the college level, immediately. He's got a big, thick neck and a great brawn shouldered, thick legged build that will allow him to take punishment early in his career. He looks like he could be an athletic outside linebacker with his pads on. Great football body.

Needs Improvement - Herron needs to work on the depth and quickness of his drops. He is not a natural quarterback and it is a learning process but he's adapted quite well. Herron is showcased in certain packages like a Wildcat formation at his high school but he's been known to be very soft when handling the ball in open field. If he wants to be the mobile QB who has positive rushing yardage, he'll need to work on holding onto the rock.

Most Impressive - Possesses a really strong and accurate arm, for a college QB even. He can also hurt you when he extends plays with his feet, tremendously agile for a QB, doesn't shy away from contact in fact will break tackles, can shake defenders and can play all four downs the whole game. This kid's a baller.

Reminiscent Of - His size and stature scream a young Donovan McNabb. He probably has more touch right now, and could certainly improve his arm strength. But the ability to make people miss in the pocket and just as successfully throw the ball remind scouts of the youngster back in his Illinois HS days.

Conclusion - Herron and Georgia are a match made in heaven. They need a QB, he's college ready. Coach Macc will throw Herron to the wolves immediately next season week one, guarenteed.

Coach Macc and the Georgia Bulldog coaching staff landed a commitment from instate product and Georgia's second over all ranked player, MLB Jermaine Hayes. Hayes is a high motor player that scouts are salivating over allready with his overall ability to do everything well for a college MLB. Hayes has the potential to be a star immediately, it's just a matter of how he adapts to Coach Macc's system of blitzing and coverage. With an immediate need to replace Ben Baldwin whose a natural safety playing MLB in Macc's 3-4 system, Macc heavily recruited this kid so Hayes will likely get a shot week one next season. Hayes is praised for his leadership qualities, high motor and drive. He'll make a good, steady linebacker who will become a fan favourite in Athens.

JERMAINE HAYES ****
Middle Linebacker (#3 MLB - #55 in ESPNU55)
Benning South, Georgia
Metairie High

Ht: 6'0
Wt: 242
40: 4.66
GPA: 2.57

Scouting Report
On The Hoof - Hayes has pro ready size, forget college. He looks like a body builder and lifts like one in the weight room. This is the type of kid you want getting off the bus first and has the look of the guy you look to for a swing of momentum on defence, the type of guy you'd send out to war.

Needs Improvement - Hayes improve his coverage skills in the passing game if he wants to be the complete package at MLB.

Most Impressive - Tackling. Nobody in the country hits harder than Hayes and he plays with a meanstreak that never quits.

Conclusion - Hayes is almost GUARENTEED playing time next season in Coach Macc's second season as head coach.

Tennessee hasn't seen a playmaker at WR since Donte Stallworth... that is until Dominique Browning emerged onto the scene this year in a break-out senior campaign that has allready consisted of an MVP calibre type year shattering countless Division 4A Tennessee state records in receiving. Browning is regarded among the elite receivers in this class, offering UGA a terrific shot at stretching defences out, forcing them to adjust to this playmaker. Scouts are salivating over this kid and it's no question he'll be a star from week one next season. With UGA in need of a young playmaker, it works perfectly because Browning will have four years of eligibility with the recruit Coach Macc's allready named next years starting QB Lamar Herron.

DOMINIQUE BROWNING ****
Wide Receiver (#7 WR - #94 in ESPNU 150)
Greeneville, Tennessee
Greeneville High

Ht: 5'11
Wt: 200
40: 4.60
GPA: 2.75

Scouting Report
On The Hoof - Browning has a very thick, wide base and is incredibly impressive physically. He holds most of his weight in his legs as their very thick and powerful and he uses them to explode on the field to absolute perfection. He looks less than 200 pounds but he's in the 200 range, solid. He has the type of build that gives him plenty of options at the next level.

Needs Improvement - Browning could work on getting his off the line speed up. He's by no means a burner and a pure possession receiver but it will give him some more looks and Georgia some more options if he works on his wheels.

Most Impressive - Position Knowledge. No receiver in this class understands the fundamentals of running routes, catching the ball, securing that ball and coming up with the big catches better than Browning. He's a stud and will be ready to play immediately because of his knowledge on the field and natural ability to make plays.

Conclusion - It could pay off emensely having your freshman starting QB have a receiver to grow and develop with. I can picture Browning in the slot starting next season and it would be a travesty if he doesn't see immediate playing time.

Georgia scooped up two TE playmakers from the state of Alabama, a hot bed for talent in Coach Macc's previous seasons at Ole Miss. It's obvious the connection hasn't faded or shown any signs of slowing up as Macc and Company went into Alabama last week to check up on two TE prospects that he received confirmation for being 'Dawgs next season. TE Mike Walker garners all the media attention listed as ESPN's #3 TE prospect but most feel that it could be TE Ricky Mosley that has an immediate impact. Macc has always favoured using his 2nd TE in the passing game and Mosley could certainly benefit from this and have a successful season as early as next year with his tremendous ability to catch the ball in any situation and dominate on the field with his size. Walker will give UGA a threat off the edge if you leave him in single coverage because he can move and catch, too butt it's his strength and power blocking that are making scouts think "heart and soul" type player.

MIKE WALKER ****
Tight End (#3 TE - #40 in ESPNU 150)
Opelika, Alabama
Opelika High

Ht: 6'1
Wt: 239
40: 4.64
GPA: 2.75

Scouting Report
On The Hoof - Very muscular overall body structure, he is in peak physical condition despite the little extra weight that he keeps on to throw around at TE. He looks like the type of kid you want making holes for your running back.

Needs Improvement - Pass Blocking. He has a tendency to leave his QB out to dry and that will need to be addressed if he wants early PT.

Most Impressive - Strength. Nobody at TE is as strong as this kid and he has the ability to whip defensive players around, even on teams front 7.

Conclusion - It's in the air how this kid develops. He could start day one, he could redshirt and not start til later. It all depends how he reacts to Macc's system.

2014 WWW.SICEMDAWGS.COM GEORGIA BULLDOG RECUITING INSIDER SHERARDCADOGAN9_29150

RICKY MOSLEY ***
Tight End (#38 TE)
Gardendale, Alabama
Gardendale High

Ht: 6'5
Wt: 236
40: 4.76
GPA: 2.51

Scouting Report
On The Hoof - Possesses excellent height and frame for the TE position. Could play up weight to become more succesfull blocking or could drop to 220 and play TE like a receiver.

Needs Improvement - Route running. For a TE who relies on his receiving ability so much he could help himself by learning to run crisp routes so that his QB can get him the ball 5 times a game.

Most Impressive - Receiving. He catches the ball tremendously well for a TE. He has hands of gold that any college coach would want lining up for them.

Conclusion - Like Walker, it's up to Mosley how hard he works and if he earns PT early or not.
