2011 Week 5 Discussion

Its up..no user games n 2 byes.. should go by pretty fast.. the pac 10 teams have the week off..no real major games..

Im done recruiting...not real sure how this years class is gonna shape up lol.

ok Guys its official my ps3 has died. PS said that i have to send it in and pay $178 to get it replaced since its out of warranty. So i dont know exactly what im gonna do but we whatever i do it will happen in the next few weeks. So you guys can pretty much keep me on auto pilot and ill be back when i get a new system.

ya ggang that really blows.. remeber towards the end of the last dynasty i sold mine n got me the new slim one.. so i kno ur pain.. at least mine was late in the dynasty last year.. hope ur back soon!

Ax- Ya that is exactly how my class is looking, it can either be real real solid, or if I lose out on some close battles I will be scrambling...and on this game, if your recruits blow (since off-season seems to be irrelevant) then I can be in some trouble LOL.

I was thinking the other day, about a strategy in regards to possible coaching changes in the FUTURE...not any time real soon.

After a 4-5 year period, I think it would be cool to have the other guys in the OD come up with potential job offers to each user, based on their performance during that period. Then the user can accept or reject the offers. Since online OD doesn't have that feature, then I think we should do it. I think it would be cool.

For example- purely example, lets say I go on to win one more Natty in the next 5 years..being at Arizona a decent program, I would think in real life some real good jobs would come up..not necessarily Florida, Texas..etc...but some well respected programs..you guys come up with about 3-4 offers that you could see offering me...lets say...Auburn, Tennesee, Texas A&M...somthing along those lines..then I can choose to accept or reject.

What do you guys think? Any other input, or suggestions..I think it would pretty cool..

I like the idea a lot...it could also go the other way....so a coach has a couple 4 loss season, maybe they get fired and have to the option to go to San Jose State, San Diego State, Hawaii or Baylor.....I think you have to have 2 or 3 guys on the committe that makes the decision and presents the offer...

i'm not sure if any will agree with me, but i don't think any user should be able to move to a team that was originally 6 stars. for whatever reason, i think EA almost has a built in advantage for those teams in regards to recruiting. it doesn't matter what their current ratings are, they seem to recruit better than other teams of the same prestige. there are enough other teams to switch to. just sayin.

I agree with that...

I can roll with that also Goat. There are plenty of teams in an upper-tier compared to some of the teams we have, that are not 6*

Chris- Yea we need a committee. I would volunteer to be in it. I would say Ax may be interested, as well as Macc and yourself. Any other volunteers?

I would be up for it...would need some regular guidlines...
1-6* star teams never available
(ND, OSU, Texas, Florida, USC, Oklahoma, Alabama, LSU) *am I missing anyone?
2-How many coach's a season get a offer? More then one per season, max of 3?
3-A coach needs to be at a certain program for 3 years minimum
4-Does a major acomplishment need to be meet? NC, 2 BCS Bowl Win?

so i won 86-0 scored 63 in the first half and didnt pass a single time in the second half did someone turn down the computer ai because texas tech seemed absolutely retarded

no we bumped down the run for cpu and bumped up pass d and pass rush for user.. thats it..

damn thats kinda messed up, we advanced this afternoon at 4.... and i dont even get a chance to recruit? thats an 8 hour advance man.... that is kinda messed up...
