2012 Week One Discussion

I updated the user schedule as some things had to be changed.. the revolving conference schedules started this year.. so me and cookan play in season this year and clemson and north carolina do not. so things had to change a bit.. some teams i took it easy on week one.. others i didnt.. everyone has an a schedule except macc he has a b schedule because i couldnt give him a barn burner week one.. However macc does play both his user games on the road and titan gets both of his at home..(the year before titan played both user games on the road..) so macc next year ill try to get u 2 user games at home..and i went thru clemsons roster he only had one person he might have red shirted thats why i decided to advance... My fucking position changes didn't regerister and my depth charts all fucked. I had things ALL organized and I made sure it loaded but it didn't work. Oh well, I went to bed thinking my cuts were fucked but my recuirintg class is in tact

Who do I play week 1?

You guys need to be recruiting kickers, then. I know it's very easy for me to say, but that's bullshit you shouldn't be allowed to go for it on fourth or not punt because you didn't recruit a kicker.

BTW I did my recruiting on lunch, I'll play my game after work around 7ish.

Really macc??? do u think i chose to have no kicker and no punter? i went after several just like i went after dt and lb i didnt sign ne n had to take walk ons.. its a good thing we dont play because im not gonna lose a game because its a 30 yd fg and i KNO my kicker cant make it.. i can punt just fine.. but i can barley make extra points so fgs are out.. idc who has a problem with it.. its not my decision its a reality of my situation..

yea sorry macc, i completely agree wit hax here, i recruited several kickers and none chose to come play ball for me, i cant help that... i mean im gonna keep ti very reasonable, and i will punt now when i would have attempted a 50 yard field goal in the past, maybe even a 40 yard field goal if it was 4th and a decent amount, but i will definitely be going for it more than i normall do, and i hardly ever go for it..

you cant blame us for kickers not choosing to sign with us.

ax, try using your punter as your kicker. is what i'm doing. was in the same boat as you. the 2* kicker i signed is pathetic. just take a look at his kpw rating.

for me, i have walk on punter and kicker...

man that game was frustrating... lost 30 to 14... just didnt have the fire power to beat LSU straight up truth...

had a very slim chance at end... had the ball about to go in for touchdown(hopefully) on the 5 or so yard line... 1 time out left, 1:05 left... QB hit and fumbled LSU takes over and runs clock out, if somehow i could have scored and got the 2, i would have had shot at onside kick... like i said very slim... also earlier in the game... QB hit and throws gay pass and DT gets pick six... just one of those game where you look back and think damn...

As frustrated as I am right now, I guess i have to say I am proud of my guys for fighting with all they had, literally, everything... we just didnt have enough manpower or firepower to beat a big dog in the SEC... hopefully this will be one of a very small amount of losses this season, receivers werent as bad as I thought, I just have no speed whatsoever right now...

this is what i had to do also....my walk on kicker was a 44 i think and punter is 60 i think....disclaimer....i will punt most of the time when the ball is outside the 40...but if it's a 4-2 at the 37 good chance I'm going for it...knowing there is no way my kicker can make a 35 plus FG....and i did try to recruit a kicker...

just my 2cents when you have these types of game vs power house teams, (i played with Army in another OD)....is you really got to slow the clock down...i.e really work the clock, limit the possession they get, and just give yourself a shot late for the win...if you can put together grinding 5 min drives that get points you really have a shot...again you probable know this, just a thought.

nobody is ganging up on you bro, and if so, im not part of it, im just simply stating my case, that there is no point for me to attempt a 45 yard field goal or punt on 4th and 2 when I KNOW my kicker can not kick it that far, honestly depending on situation in game, somtiems i will punt, even that close to the endzone.... but a majority of the time i will go for it...
