#22 Boise St @ #16 Oregon State
- All eyes on our terrific roster man - Jesse. He's got his handsfull with Kellen and company a tough gritty Boise team whose more than capable of an upset. The Rodgers Bros. however are considered All Americans... can they live up to the recognition?

| TCU Starts 2010 Season on the Right Foot, Downing the Wolverines 30-14 Michael Tucker (Soph. RB) Fort Worth, TX---
The TCU Horned Frogs started off the fresh season in familiar fashion, rushing for over 300 yards and playing strong defense to come out with a 30-14 victory over a pesky Wolverine squad.
With some new Horses in the backfield, widely known around campus as T-N-T..referring to Tucker and Timmons, a Sophmore and TRUE Freshman respectively, the Horned Frogs wore down the Michigan defense.
"Alan Timmons was a prized recruit out of Texas that had a huge senior season to gain him 5* status, we have no hesitation is putting him in. He got his feet wet today with 47 yards on the ground, but we will need him going forward" Coach Patterson says.
Tucker however, is making his name known early, as he rushes 25 times, for 233 yards and 2TD's. Wearing #5 he brings back memories of LaDanian Tomlinson, as fans hope to see a Heisman winner in his career..." I admire and look up to LaDanian, he has texted me a few times, and I take his feedback to heart"
TCU Ranked in the top 10 will come on a few bye weeks, but is looking forward to the Big 12 South

| Rebels Roll The Red Raiders 54-22!
Trey Talbot jumps on Brandon Bolden after he scores.
The 6th ranked Ole Miss Rebels hosted the Texas Tech Red Raiders in one of recent memories most exciting southern rivalries. The Rebels despite being 7 point underdogs the last time the two met - left with the 2009 Cotton Bowl and this year they won in a little bit more fashion. The Rebels offence couldn't be stopped all day and showed their faithful fans a promising future as sophmore QB Ray Cotton found targets sophmore TE Ferbia Allen and true freshman WR Trey Talbot all day the three underclassmen accounting for 42 of the teams 54 points.
"I couldn't be happier with the way we played today. Ray Cotton really showed us who Ray Cotton is and he's making me look good. He was out there making plays all day, running getting us first downs and the accuracy of his throws has improved so much over the past year it is incredible. We have a legit, franchise QB on our team this year and his names Raymond Cotton," Coach Macc said.
The defence was stingy as ever since Macc's introduction here allowing the Raiders -25 yards rushing, making plays in the backfield the entire time. The defence was lead by MLB Jonathan Cornell who accounted for 7 solo tackles. All American FS Derrick Herman had 5 solo tackles, 1 TFL and an INT in the Rebels endzone this afternoon.
Derrick Herman celebrating with Rebel secondary after his interception, saving 6.
"Our defence was tremendous today. A few slips in the passing game but that's okay. We forced turnovers and we never quit. I'm very impressed with our week one preformance and we can't wait to face the Beavers of Oregon State," Macc said.
The teams starting running back, Brandon Bolden was featured all over the field making him the true three down back and proved his status on the team is without question irreplaceable. Bolden was at the helm of the teams Wild Rebel package and his rushing touchdown came out of that package.
"We miss Dex but it's really nice to have the type of offence where we depend on eachother to make plays and it's not so one-dimensional. We're going to be very tough to defend now. We've got tons of playmakers and you all got to see the show," Bolden said.
In the play of the game, Ray Cotton escaped tons of pressure in the backfield, escaped and found his TE Ferbia Allen for what would be one of the best catches you'll ever see. Cotton being rushed by 4 Raiders threw the ball up and Allen ran right underneath it and completed the basket catch. What was most impressive was how close he was to the sideline and how he tip-toed into the endzone. (Seriously SICKEST user catch I've ever made)
The Rebels are Rollin!!!
OFFENSIVE STANDOUTS POTG Ray Cotton - 19/36 318 yards 5TD 2INT 1TD rushing Brandon Bolden - 115 1TD 4 rec. 71 yards 1TD Ferbia Allen - 6 rec. 120 yards 1TD Trey Talbot - 4 rec. 97 yards 1TD Markeith Summers - 3 rec. 41 yards 1TD
DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS FS Derrick Herman - 5 tackles 1TFL 1INT MLB Jonathan Cornell - 7 tackles DE Kentrell Lockett - 5 tackles 3TFL Safety

| 2011 season gets under way as the Kansas Jayhawks travel out to lexington Kentucky to take on the Wildcats.. The defense too the field and seems as tho they struggles to find their rhythm early..giving up some yards but eventually forcing afg that was missed.. The offense as well seem to be a lil off in the first half of this football game.."Well we have a lot of tru freshman out there on the field and some true sophomores like coop and mcdougald so u know i think the first half everyone was just figuring out how to play at game speed with one another..' said coach santana and it seems he was right cause after the half it got ugly.. the hiesman duo put on a show Kale Cooper went 24-40 400 and 4 td her was smart an accurate with the ball all game.. Mcdougald has 6 cathes for 125 and 2 td.. but lets talk about the run game and lightning an thunder.. the rb combined for 200 yds and 4 td.. when coach was asked if he had a rb battle this was his response.." You kno i was want sure what we were gonna do at the rb spot.. I let toben get the start he really started becoming a force at the end of the year last year.. and Brantly came in here and shinned all spring so i figured i would let it play itself out letting them both get a shot.. and boy was i surprised and the selflessness and productivity of these guys.. Kale and Bradley have alot of help in the backfield now..." The Kansas offense is back and revamped and lets not leave out the stud at le bishop who had 10 tackels and 2 sacks in his first game on the field.. all in all Kansas handles Kentucky in fine style 42-7... | |
