COACHING TRANSFER LOOKOUT - TWO PAC10 TEAMS WINLESS OREGON / CALIFORNIA

GOTW

#14 Ole Miss @ #12 Alabama
- This is gonna be a TOUGH game. I'm going to hope my freshman RB can handle the pressure and be the X Factor I'm going for ball control and conservative offensive playcalling. I'll let you know all about it lol.

HEISMAN

RB Ed McIntyre Kansas
Last week Ed "MAC TRUCK" McIntyre ran right into, around, above and over an entire Kansas State team for 116 on the ground and 101 through the air with a total of 4TDs. This kids the real deal ladies and gentlemen - when Kansas went after this high profile prospect last off season he was heavily recruited by quite a few big name coaches. He's the total package - he's got the speed, the power, the ability to make guys miss and he can obviously be a threat in the passing game. Look out for the MAC TRUCK.

RB Caleb Porzel Maryland
All 5'9 and 192 of Caleb Porzel is at full speed the entire time he's on the field and it's no question he's well deserving of his spot as the #2 player in the nation thus far. Cut form a very fine cloth of running backs recently at Maryland - Porzel has the jets the know how and the drive to be a game changer any given Saturday. The All Americans got 647 on the ground for 11TDs and he's begging America to "catch him if they can".

RB Alan Timmons Texas Christian
What more can you say than about the feature back for Coach Phillips Horned Frog squad of late. He is continuously coaching up young products that remind of you of a former Horned Frog - Mr. Landanian Tomlinson? Timmons is benefiting from the very balance running attack that has been punishing Big 12 teams since they got their invite back in 09. Timmons has put up 824 so far and 14TDs.

Vincent Jackson Jr.
Vincent Jackson Jr. may be the best player in college football right now. At just 169 pounds Jackson is let me tell you from a first hand perspective, a NIGHTMARE to try to stop. He's turned his receiving game up this season allready going over the 300 yard mark and 4TDs, more than any of his previous three years. And running? Well, Jackson has accounted for nearly as much as his entire year last season and has allready broken his personal season TD record with 12. VJJ is a beeeast.

Maryland improved to 6-0 this season with a 45-13 victory over the Memphis Tigers at Byrd Stadium in College Park. The Terps played 3 quarters of football and really put this one away in the second quarter, which the Terps have been known to do recently.

The Terps offesne put up 519 total yards of offesne. This time around it was not as balanced as usual, the Terps ran, over, up, under, and around the Tiger "D" for 312 yards while throwing for 207. The Terps were led once again, by heisman hopeful Caleb Porzel. Caled finished the game with 16 carries for 185 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground. He also had 4 catches for 78 yards. Senior Gary Douglas actually carried the ball more this game, getting 21 carries for 123 yards. Donnie Meyer played his best game as the "wildcat" in his young career, getting 3 carries for 13 yards and a touchdown, with 0 fumbles. That is thie big key according to coach Hickerson. "Everytime we feel Donnie is getting the confidence he needs for us to feel confident in him, something bad happens. A fumble here, a bad pitch there, something to get him down. We feel like this game may get him over that hump, and if it does we feel that he can be a intrical part of this offense." Starting QB Danny O'Brien had a solid day again going 16 for 24 for 207 yards and 1 touchdown.

Defensively the Terps only gave up 164 total yards, an impressive number. The number gets even more impressive when we tell you that 70 of those came on one run early in the first quarter. The Terps saw their two freshman on te defnesive side of the ball hook up as Jared Golden forced a fumble and Perry Hall picked it up, and was one missed tackle away from a touchdown.

The Terps will have their bye next week, followed by games against undefeated # 6 Florida State, # 17 Georgia Tech, and then they travle to unbeaten and # 1 North Carolina for a rematch of last years ACC championship. I would call that a tough 3 game stretch, I would also call it a well timed bye. It's gonna be fun, hope you follow along.

Rebels Roll The Tide And Take 2011 Revenge 38-24

2012 Week 7 610x
Marc Payne is emerging as one of the nation's most deadly freshmen.

Believe the hype. Marc Payne is an everydown back and he's one of the most dynamic young playmakers in the NCAA right now. Payne slashed through, ran past and broke the ankles of Crimson Tide defenders all day proving to be literally untackleable at times. He proved his durability is second to none handling the ball 35 times today, 32 carries 3 catches that he took for 228 and 36 yards respectively with 3TDs on the day.

Ray Cotton the teams starting QB continues to struggle through his senior year having thrown two interceptions today but for 229 yards, 104 going to junior wideout Trey Talbot. The team got a boost of morale with the uprising of junior linebacker Phillip Ervin. Ervin lead the team on the field today in tackles and in emotional situations where the Rebels played very consistent allowing the Tide to only 4/15 on 3rd downs. Ervin finished with 8 tackles 6 going for loss.

The Rebels avenge last seasons loss to Alabama and remain in the SEC Championship hunt if Auburn were to drop two. They wasted no time getting out to an early lead forcing fumble on the very first drive for Bama, leading to Marc Payne rushing down the field for about 20 yards and capped the drive off with a score at 5:12 in the 1stQ.

After trading the ball a few times Bama's QB Starr Jackson threw his first intercpetion of the day right to Lekenwick Haynes the junior OLB who made the most of the opportunity taking it back the opposite way 19 yards for the pick six.

Bama settled down and received a rushing score from RB Archie as he went all the way through past and around Rebel defenders at 0:37 in the 1st. They would score again quickly after Cotton's interception went 100 yards back for a pick six. In the dying seconds of the second half Cotton however found paydirt after Payne lead the Rebels into the Bama redzone and Cotton scrambled in for the score to make it a 21-14 halftime lead.

Bama put up a field goal with only 1:02 remaining in a very quiet, defensive dominant third quarter.

And Marc Payne struck again this time from five yards in the Wildcat formation he is making famous. The Rebels had the four point lead and Bama rallied to nearly score and tie it up but starting CB Daniel Breedlove tipped a 4th and 10 attempt in the Rebels redzone to end the drive.

Marc Payne took the very next handoff down 66 yards to paydirt on an inside run that was an attempt to run clock. This gave the Rebels the 14 point lead and they never looked back.

Jesse, I went to sim your game and it was a back and forth battle with Washington. They kicked a FG with 1:00 in the 4th left to go up by 7 so I hopped in the game and drove down the field to score with 0:00 left on the clock. In OT, they moved it well on a couple plays but they missed their FG. I took the ball and threw the game winning TD to Bishop. Katz had an amazing day 30/48 for 443 yards 3TDs 0INTs. Bishop is unreal!!
