| The #11 Oregon State Beavers defeated the California Golden Bears tonight, 55-25. QB Sean Mannion connected on 66% of his passes while surpassing the 300 yard mark and tossing four touchdowns. It was a good thing that Mannion was so hot, for the double headed rushing monster of Lane and Marable were held to a combined 130yds and 3 touchdowns, still not shabby, but Coach 9's wants more from his runners. Offensive Standouts POTG QB S Mannion 14-21 316yds 4TDs HB J Lane 27att 82yds 2TDs 2rec 31yds HB M Marable 11att 48yds 1TD WR D Morris 5rec 74yds TE R Young 4rec 99yds 2TDs WR W Kirby 1rec 32yds 1TD WR A Peterson 1rec 56yds 1TD Defensive Standouts LB D Welch 12Tkls 1TFL FS W Storey 8Tkls 1Int 1DEFL DT T Molesi 6Tkls 2TFL 2Sacks 1FF DT H Iona 4Tkls 1TFL 1FR DE T Robinson 4Tkls 1TFL 1Sack SS J Poyer 4Tkls 1Int Next up for the #11 Beavs(7-2)(5-1), a trip to Arizona, to take on the Wildcats. | |

| Iowa 30 Illinois 10
Big ups to Iowa on this win. They were tough this year and all we can do is take the lost and keep moving. My team is a young team with only 6 seniors on it so there is alot of growing up to do. Our season isn't over yet we can see make up some groud and hope to slide into a BCS Game.
Not trying to bash on Iowa or anything but if you stop someone on the very first drive to where ist 4th and 1 on the 50 i believe should they punt. or is it ok for them to go for it. And also are we allowed to use pass commit. I never use it and thats one of the rules i thought we had in the dynasty. I know we cant use run commit. I just want to know you guys opinion

| I use pass commit some.
The thing that was forowned upon mostly was Run commit, because it is too good on this game.
Pass commit, does not have the same affect on the game as Run Commit, so I don't see a problem with it in certain times.
The 4th down, eh its a judgement call, some ballsy coaches might try to grab the momentum and go for it..but I can see where it would be frustrating as the opponent as well.
BTW...I am getting on to advance right now

| its suppose to be the compliment to the run commit, but this game really screwed up the Run Commit, and didnt implement the pAss commit real good.
You press R2 and Up, instead of down (qwhich is run commit)

| D-line throws thier hands up more, and it helps the D not bite on playaction, if their AWR and PLay Recognition is good | |

| alright heres my reasoning for the 4th down on the 50 i throw a pass to my te who catches on 3rd down and is clearly 3 yards past the first down line but he turns backwards and starts breaking all these tackles like a dumb ass on my opening possesion im not going to punt on 4th and short mid field im an aggressive style play caller if i wouldnt have got it the game would have been completely different and thats why i made the call cuz i like to gamble... on the pass commit ive used it every game and even when i played ggang last year i used it. it doesnt really do much it just makes the d-line throw their hands up and bat the ball down and thats about it. ive played the same way every game and havent switched so if i was to get called out for using pass commit it should of happened year one not 6 but if everyone is against it than ill stop no biggie but when people line up 5 wide 50% of the game its seems like a reasonable thing to do | |

| Nah man pass commit is cool, I use it on plays I think will be passing downs. It doesn't blow the game wide open and not allow the other player to do anything at times like the run commit. | |

| does anyone know how pass commit stops the run??? if it does it well...i think its cheese....I feel if you are pass commiting and still stopping the run it takes advantage of a gay glitch and unneeded feature by EA..you should be able to dominate on the run if the dude is selling out on the pass.I dont believe i have ever used either commit feature...but might have pushed those buttons at the same time before....who knows....To each his own....maybe thats my disadvantage.....but i will never use either commit feature | |

| You can almost expect to get hurt if you pass commit on a run play. The only way that you can successfully stop the run while pass comitting is if you pick a good run defence play ie DE contain for outside runs or MLB spy up the middle. The commitment stuff really just changes how your line crashes or pulls. I've noticed sometimes your DBs will also make the tackle breaking up a would be reception. While you can still stop the run when using it it's really about the play you pick. I'll use pass commit on downs I feel are sure passing downs (2nd 3rd and long) | |

| Ok, I just got beat by Memphis... bad... Donnie Meyer is out for seven weeks... before he got hurt he threw 2 interceptions in one quarter... then Danny O'Brien came in and threw 5.... one of their safteys had 5 interceptions by himself! I understand Meyer's throws being somewhat off, as he isnt a very accurate passer... but O'brien is a pretty good thrower, his throws were not even close... i dont get how i went from doing great to getting beat by florida state, then getting DRILLED by MEMPHIS at home.... 34-18. WOW
Oh well, hopefully I can somehow make it to the ACC championship so Goat can whoop my ass lol....
Here are Coach Hickersons comments:
"Ever since we beat Carolina, this team has had this cockiness to them, at first it was a good confident swagger, but it quickly turned into a oh we are the best in the world swagger, that is on us as coaches. We will fix that this week, you will definitely see a different team next week. No disrespect to the University of Memphis at all, but this is a game we have no business losing, we call ourselves a top tier program in the country, and we get beat my the University of Memphis, this isnt basketball, this is football. That should not happen, fine me, criticize me for being disrespectful, whatever you want, but that shit should not happen. Fine me for that word too, shit, i dont care right now... some of my players may be in the news this week for quitting, dont be surprised, this shit is going to stop. It is time to find out who the men are."
