Thus far is the best class Coach Hickerson has brought in, currently number 7 in the country - 6 4 stars and 1 5 star.
15 spots remaining - 10 players left on board yet to commit to a school
5 star HB - Ryan Bowman - Number 4 halfback in the country, chose the Terps over Iowa and Oregon State. Deadly combination of size and speed. Very agile runner, hits hole extremely quick. Needs to work on shedding tacklers. Best prospect Coach Hickerson has signed in his career.
4 star QB - Karl O'Neal - Number 4 quarterback in nation, chose the Terps over Michigan and Georgia. Great dual- threat quarterback. Above average speed, accuracy, and throw power. Has the makings to be a star someday, however will probably redshirt next season due to the Teprs current starting quarterback situation.
4 star C - Jake Rhoden - Number 2 center in nation, chose the Terps over Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Ole Miss. Better pass blocker than run blocker which doesnt exactly fit into Coach Hickerson's scheme but this guy is too good to pass up on. Very smart for kid his age, strong too. Great footwork. Will battle for starting spot next season along with the Terps lone returning center.
4 star CB - Josh Summers - Number 37 corner in the nation, chose the Terps over texas and LSU, Good speed, excellent in man coverage which is what Coach Hickerson prefers. Needs to work on his press coverage and quickness.
4 star C - Cory Caldwell - Number 8 center in nation, chose the Terps over Penn State and Ole Miss, great physical talent, still very raw. Will likely see redshirt next season.
4 star WR - Edwin Jones - Number 13 receiver in nation, chose the Terps over Alabama, Virginia tech, Tennessee, and Oregon State. Maybe the most underrated wide out in the class, excellent speed and agility. very good route runner for his age. Makes the tough catches look easy. Great vertical leap to go up and get jump balls even though he is only 5'10. If he proves to be the burner we expect him to be, look for him to make immediate impact next season.
4 star DE - Terry Harris - Number 8 defensive end in the country, chose the Terps over Pitt and Penn State. Good speed for his size at 6'5 236. Great tackler and takes great angles on ball carrier. Delivers punishing hits, and played in every single game of his high school career, never missed one.
