As the 2012 regular season comes to an end, we bring to you the first, and only regular season 2012 Maryland Terrapins Recruiting Trail. It has not been an overly exciting recruiting season for the Terps, they missed on several big recruits they were going after, but Coach Hickerson and his staff have put together what im sure will end up as a top 25 recruiting class. The Terps only graduate 14 seniors so hopefully they will not lose too much, and have a great season this year to pitch to the big time recruits next year. But thats enough talking, here are the current members of the 2012 Maryland Terrapin recruiting class.
Paul Williams - 3 star WR - 6'6, Big target, decent speed, great catching ability, and good route runner for his size. Could see playing time next season.
Omarr Rogers - 4 star G - 6'2 305, great run blocker, great blocking strength, good footwork, with as much the Terps are losing up front, a redshirt is highly unlikely even though Coach Hick likes to redshirt O lineman
Kellen Bryant - 3 star DE - 6'4 260, good speed and purst, nice upside, probably redshirt
Lee Royal - 3 star DT - 6'1 284, not the fastest guy in the word, very strong, tackles well, needs to work on getting off blocks, probably redshirt
Terrell Miller - 3 star OLB - 6'2 226, perfect linebacker build, not the best speed for an outside backer, good tackler, decent in coverage, probably redshirt, may be a project
Kent Newby - 4 star SS - 6'5 216, very big for a safety, VERY mobile for a guy his size, great in coverage, pretty good hitter, coaching staff is pretty excited to see how he turns out
