MTSU Head Coach Jeff Hickerson looks to haul in a big class numbers wise this season to provide much needed depth for his young team and provide a few electric playmakers for his offense.

1st commit
Brandon Cook - Mt. Carmel, TN - 3 star - #41 FS in country - 6'2 189 lbs
Good combination of speed and acceleration. Hits hard and plays very well man to man, could possible be a corner down the road for the Blue Raiders, needs to improve on zone coverage to play safety in Hickersons defense.

2nd commit of season:

Devin Medley - Hyattsville, MD - 3 star - #106 WR in country - 6-4 189 lbs
Great size and speed, terrible burst off the line that must be improved to be complete receiver. Excellent deep threat and makes the tough catch look easy, while makign the easy catch look tough, can definitely see him hauling in some deep balls next year however, ready to make impact in that way immediately.

3rd commit:

Cam Sampson - Vinnings, GA - 3 star - #60 FS in country - 6'1 174 lbs
Good safety size, could beef up a little more but actually packs a big punch for his size. Decent in coverage and has a great burst to the ball or defender, whichever he is hunting down. Will more than likely redshirt his freshman season unless MTSU doesnt come up with 1 more commit at the position.

4th commit of season:

Larry Harrell - Colonial Heights, TN - 4 star - #4 ATH in country - 6'2 195 lbs
Projected as wide receiver for MTSU, great speed and acceleration, can impprove his "wiggle" but will definitely see playing time at wide out next year for MTSU. Has above average hands and has a good ability to get open for his age. I definitely believe he will be the most talented true freshman Coach Hickerson will have coached. has ability to play safety at the next level also, but would be HIGHLY SHOCKED if that happens. I am very excited to see him dawn the blue and white!

5th commit of season:

Jessee Lambert - Kinds Mountain, NC - 3 star - #91 HB in country - 5'11 196 lbs
Good speed and acceleration, neither will blow you away, but both will get the job done as a serviceable running back. Needs to improve on the "tough yards" but that will come as he matures and grows. Has decent ability to make men miss and could be great get for the Blue Raider coaching staff.

6th commit of season:
Sean Andrews - Springfield, TN - 3 star - #65 TE in country - 6'2 255 lbs
Will more than likely be the starting tight end for the Blue Raiders next season. Has decent speed but has a great ability to catch the ball and get open. Will not do a whole lot after the catch, but he is a big physcial target who will make tough catches for you. Not a half bad blocker either.

7th commit of season:
Ben Hall - Ooletwah, TN - 3 star - #32 FS in country 6'0 185 lbs
With the signing of Hall there is a good chance that one of the other free safetys signed in this years class will move to cornerback. Coach Hickerson believes Hall can come in and compete for starting job right away.
