Coach Hickerson following the 59 to 7 loss at Missouri:

"I'm somewhat at a loss for words right now, I knew we werent a good football team yet, not at this point in the season anyways, but we were just dismantled. We have zero identity on this team right now, I played all 3quarterbacks on my roster, and not oe played well, not even close to well. Our receivers dropped more passes than they caught, our O line did not block a single person all game, and our running backs, well I can't really say anything about Chris because he didn't have an opportunity to do anything at all because of the poor play by the offensive line. I am really not sure what we are going to do about this team offensively right now, we are flat out awful on that side of the ball. Defensively, we didnt play well on that side either, as you can tell from the scoreboard, we gave up 59 points. To the defense's credit however, they were on the field pretty much the entire game and the offense turned the ball over 5 times i believe... 5 or 6, and put the defense in situations to fail. That is not an excuse for them however, a good defense succeeds in any situation, they dig down deep and find something inside to pull them through the tough times. I will be very curious to see how our team responds from this, we will find out a lot about our guys this week, we got a lot of young guys, so it will be interesting. Going forward, I have no clue who will play quarterback for this team right now, Zac is obviously the most physically talented of the bunch, the freshman has the most potential, and the walk on has the best work ethic, go figure right? Despite having the most ability, Zac definitely played the worst out there today, im not going to sugar coat it for him, we will tell him man to man, that he needs to put in the time, or he will not be our starting quarterback here at MTSU. So as far as next weeks game with Troy goes, I do not know what to tell you all to expect honestly, but we will see you there. God Bless."
