I use it, and people have never had any problem with it against me lol.. maybe i just suck that bad... but i would think that you can probably get some decent run game going against it..

lol jp, but forreal, it's a formation. You can still beat that defence, as long as you mix it up and run the ball. It's DEFENITELY very beneficial in pass coverage, but it also leaves you suseptible to pounding the rock on you. Are we trying to ban the base formation, or using the 3-3-5 all together? Because I get some good looks in terms of matchups and creating pressure out of that set in the 3-4 I use this year.

I know in games past it was filled with userpick-heaven pass coverage formations, I haven't even tried in this game but I'm sure I can see why some are saying you don't want to see it. I'm all for banning it as a base formation, tho.

no no no u guys are confusing what defense im talking about.. ther is the nickle 3-3-5 which is 3 downlineman 3 lb and 5 db's.. ok well then this should be called 3-5-3 but its not its called 3-3-5 idk why it makes no sense but if u go to defense playbooks u will see a defense called 3-3-5 and its not the nickle 3-3-5 its this shit im talking about.. im not kidding u its 3 down line man 5 line backers and 3 db's.. now maybe it is 3 ln 3 lb and 5 db but its wher they are lined up.. ahh hell lemme just post a picture and u can see the retartedness...

I just want to ban the base formation not the 335 all together when you see 4 and 5 wide you have to run dime nickel and 335

omg just looking at the picture is pissing me off.. so now someone tell me how the fuck u beat that.. u cant run it in the middle or outside.. u cant throw ne where near the middle of the field.. u would have to throw to the outside receiver on the sidelines.. on the side oppisite of the saftey. thats it.. from what i can tell and when i think of it that was the only plays that worked against him.. when i went 5 wr and threw outside against that one corner opposite of the safety...

how can you see what D or O playbook teams run?....just at the start of the game or is there a way to view on the OD site?

ok so ya i just went and looked at the playbook in the game its called 3-3-5 staked.. its a base playbook.. so its not 5 lb its still 5 db's but look at where they are lined up.. in the box... im sorry maybe im dumb but i dont see how u beat this in real life i suppose ur lineman should dominate the lil guys in the middle but in the game that doesnt work.. he sutffed the run with this and covered every pass.. i swear to god.. i didnt realize it till i saw it in the sim for gruden.. how insane n broken that playbook is..

u cant see what playbooks ppl are using because it doesnt show u ne where..the only reason i kno he was using it cause he set the coaching options on gt to use it.. and those apparently stick to the team..so whatever offense n defense u guys were running when u left ur previous teams it is till set to that.. i read that in the sliders discussion on operation sports.. that he went in and set the coaching options for all teams and it helps the game play.. so apparently it sticks

it was a very very difficult def playbook to play against...but ax...i lit him up thru the air when i played him to the tune of over 300 yards with no ints. Its not impossible to beat, you just have to mix up your play calling. Its actually harder to run on that formation then pass. He held my HB to like 10 yards running but had no answer for my air attack.

Idk grey I played him 3 times and it's definitely impossible to run against because his dbs are everywhere but also if you don't have a qb that can throw with pin point accuracy you don't stand a chance because you have to throw those deep passes anyways I think we should take a vote right now to ban or allow it that being the 3-3-5 stack base defense I vote yes

so if i get this correct you can have a base d of 4-3 3-4 4-2-5 Multiply D is there any others? as your base D....but you can audible into some of the play calls from the 3-3-5 play book?

In all honesty... my power running, I formation, 2 back, pro style offensive set would welcome that 3-3-5 stack any day. it might be impossible for you spread guys to run the ball because your all outta shotty. you can pound it right up the throat with 5 linemen and a fb blocking for you. passing would just be a btich so if someone WERE to use it, i'd heavily rely on the rush being a factor. it seems like in this game, however you get just as much of a defensive line presence with 3 downlinemen as you do with 4... user games espeically. so for that very reason, the base set should not be allowed.

but in all honesty, gruden about getting headache from the rules, the reason why we're still going is coz we as a group talk this out. i agree somebody should do a hard rulebook... *looks around* agh fuck i know its my job to do lol weekend off so i will find an hour or two to work on it soon.
