PostSubject: 2014 Week Nine Discussion   2014 Week Nine Discussion EmptyFri 12 Mar 2010, 2:14 am

ESPN MAGAZINE FOR OCTOBER 25, 2014

LOOKOUT PLAYERS AND TEAMS
Kemal Dodds/Q4TB

So week Nine is up big Game for Auburn as they face the #2 Ole Miss Rebels who despite losing thier Head Coach and Coaching staff seem to be unstoppable in the sec.. Can Coach Harbaough Take down the power house or willl The Rebels continue to dominate in the SEC...Auburn will need a huge game from its leader at Qb.. He is the motor of this well built machine in order to take down the power house he has to be the wrecking ball CAN he get it done????

Lets Talk Heisman for a second here..

Tru Freshman D.J Jordan of Oregon is proving to be a stud this tear 62 Receptions for 1233 yards and 14 td.. He has now takin the top spot in the heisman race.. but as we kno in years past being there doesnt guarantee u the award.

So Troy Curry hb from North Carolina has fallen to number two but he is definatly still in the race.. people are wondering why he is there he doesnt have gaudy numbers rushing.. but this kid does it all!!! and catches the ball out of the back field better than ne rb in cfb. 103 att 1037 9 tds on the ground.. 33 rec 766 7 td receiving.. WOW talk about a dual threat!

SR Chris Wade hb Georgia has taken what was a bad season last year and revived the DAWGS!!! 180 Carries 883 yds 14 tds and another 300 receiving.. he has the people in Athens believing a Conference Championship and maybe even a National Championship is on its way!

Sr Tanquary Parrish Qb Auburn Is proving to be the real deal.. people have always told him he lack the arm strength an accuracy to be an elite qb well this year he is proving them wrong.. 150/240 2516 and 24 td... if he can keep his int total down which is currently at 10 with a few big games coming up down the stretch he could potentially be the front runner for the award soon..

Tru FR Atari West Qb Oregon.. Well if Jordan is the ying he is the Yang... The freshman duo has been electric this year and Coach Santana Says they are better versions of his old freshman tandem at Kansas who are now doing great in the pros Cooper and McDougald.. Atari is a lil under sized and is still learning alot about the game but so far his learning curve seems to be high 158/260 2624yds 25 td.. He has been on and off the list this season and thats because every now and again he reminds you he is a freshman already throwing 14 ints on the year.. He is a dark horse for the heisman but as a tru fresh u gotta be proud even getting mentioned...

And we are closing in on the end of the season and that is marked by the relase of the very first BCS Rankings..

North Carolina is currently sitting atop all 3 polls and for good reason they have defeated the defending national champs and is destroying all the teams they have faced so far this year.. But dont punch that ticket to the national championship yet.. they still may have to face a tough Maryland team in the ACC champ game..

The fightin Illini is currently sitting at number 5 in the poll. in a dead point tie with Oregon.. But they are there with good reason they also have defeated the defending natty champs and cruising thru thier season without much challenge.. with ole miss likley to fall this week they could move all the way up to 3 but they still have a few big challenges on the way mainly the Buckeyes of Ohio State..

The Ducks Of Oregon Are at 5 with a point tie to illi.. They have defeated a great auburn team and all though they start slow thay have shown they can win through adversity losing thier all american rb in week 2 but they haven't missed a beat but they still have USC and a few other top pac 10 teams to face and off course thier season most likley will all come down to the Civil War with Oregon State wichi could be for the Natty champ spot as well as the PAC 10

The Georgia Bulldogs have fought thier way to number 6 in the BCS Defeating a very talented maryland team in week one and they havent slowed down at all but they still have a tough road ahead of them in the sec With FLorida and Auburn left to play plus the SEC Champ but so far year one is going great for the dogs and thier new Coach Macc

Oregon State is sitting at 7 n they too beat a talented maryland team in week 2.. Coach 9's is dominating the pac 10 but some would argue to this point thier schedule has been kind of soft. Only 1 team they have played so far has a winning record right now and that is reflected in thier ranking. However they still have plenty tough teams to face in Cal , Stanford and off Course the Oregon Ducks who if they beat could punch thier ticket into the National CHampionship Game

The Auburn Tigers are number 8 in the bcs. With their only loss coming to a tough Oregon Team.. Since then they have gone on to beat every one they have faced. But all the tough games are still left for them to play with OLe miss this week and Georgia in two weeks.. We have seen a one loss team play for the national championship all though i dont think it will be case this year there is still plenty left for Auburn to fight for..

At number 9 in the BCS is The Ohio State Buckeyes they had a lot of great players leave last year and the whole country didnt think they would be a contender this year. and they have silenced everyone.. Yhe young freshman have stepped in and they are leading this team to win after win.. After losing a tough game to the Defending National Champs they bounced back and have won 2 in a row. They are still fighting for the Big Ten crown as they Face Illi later in the season... still lots to play for ..

Number 10 has the Iowa Hawk-eyes.. They have 2 losses on the season but they are still a power house team and they are still in the fight for the Big Ten Only dropping one game in the conference how ever they will need help if they are to take the title home again but with 2 losses the national championship seems ot be out of the picture for them but they are still a force and will still be a tough opponent for whoever they get in thier bowl game and with 2 losses they will be looking to prove they are still the best!

Ohio State Wins on the Road against Indiana with a lackluster performance 42-21.

Game was very close until the 4th quarter.

Starting HB Davis went down with an injury in the first, taking him out for the game.

Freshman HB Clint Brock ran 15 times for 111 yards and 3TD's

I just beat standford 24-17 in one of the most frustrating annoying games i have ever played... they arent that good no reason to be as good as they were they are like what 2-5 fuck stanford.. ugh.. they picked off 2 passes that the game just took from me every player on my team was hurt at on point or another... my qb couldnt think they were getting so much pressure.. and i mean it was shit like the de just goes unblocked.. every play action play was a sack.. my rb couldnt buy yardage.. it was one of those games ea wanted from me and they made up fumbles couldnt throw a bad pass. it was one of those games.. i have a bye week to get over it before i play usc.. this is a frustrating week for me i cant be competitive with ne of the recruits im having a rough go this year.. n my team is reflecting that lack of talent.. also my qb im ready to bench that bastard... he throws to many passes into la la land and it dont matter how i try to stop him he does it ne wayz.. i may not play him against oregon state and go with the older guy because that one pass he lets fly into no where could cost me the game... i still dont kno how i beat scott with him at the helm he makes me really angry!

That's so sick. Adds a different kind of realism to the OD when you actually take into consideration where your boys are from and that. Love it Buc.

Yeah I got you in two seconds Jeff. I'll write a lil recap. I know I controlled your last week vs Clemson and I had to play about a quarter of the game so that I made sure you got a nice W. I remember hitting Schroeder for a longggg catch and run and had a nice 30+ yard run with your impact back I think for the winning TD.
