2014 Week 13 Discussion

I think Masoli caught alotta hype when he basically beat USC's very athletic defence last season (and the year before that) basically by himself. He played amazing and I remember watching him run all over the field and cursing his name. However, with that being said, the weakness in Carroll's defensive scheme has always been playing against a mobile QB. He's a good player, but I think Chris hit the nail on the head with the lack in height, his vision and everything. He's a terrific athlete and defenitely a gamer. But I don't think Masoli has a shot in HELL at ever playing quarterback in the NFL.

It's amazing the tremendous, successful college QB's that come into the league and perenially shit the bed. I don't know if Tebow will ever win the job in Denver, and that says alot after the amazing career he had in college. But then, guys like Matt Cassel who never start a single college game can come in, and get a $60 million contract and can actually compete. The transition from college (or any form of pre-professional leagues) in football is by far the most sparadic of any sport. In hockey, when you see a kid like Taylor Hall for instance, who can score 60 goals in the OHL, you know he'll have a shot to score goals in the NHL. A guy like OJ Mayo can put up points consistently in an average USC ball program, will score in the NBA. But in the NFL, it's always a toss up. Very interesting.

I really think Tebow will eventually be a good NFL qb, just because he is SO competitive and works so hard, but it will take him a few years....I wish he was behind a very good veteran quarterback such Favre or Brady, and as much as i cant stand him, Peyton... Orton is good, looked really good this year but i think it is due to him throwing sooo many passes... I do eventually think he will be a decent nfl qb though....

what is more crazy is that as much as Brantley is struggling right now at Florida... i think he will have a VERY good NFL career

Masoli could be a good QB in the Pros....in Canada...he is having a good day today vs Arkansas 18-29 280 yards 3 TD no picks with 15 carries for 92 yards....

lol gruden... football is strange this year, college and pros... I have NO clue who will win the national title or super bowl.... dont even have a clue who is goign to play for it.

excuse my language, but Cam Newton is a fucking beast..... i now know how people felt(or should have felt anyway) when watching my gators and tim tebow play.... Newton is just unreal, he doest bring the leadership and jumpin around getting the fans into it as much as tebow, at least not that i have seen... but man the guy is unreal..... for those of you out west who dont really follow the SEC, you have to watch him if you havent seen him...


and for those who dont know the story behind Newton, he originally attended Florida.... got convicted of stealing a laptop, dont think it was ever proven he stole it, he said he didnt, but he tried to hdie it and stuff, so he probably did, seems like a good kid though.... anyways he transferred shortly there after, everybdoy now says he transferred because Tebow was in front of him though.... but at the time i neveer in my wildest dreams imagined he would be this freakin good.... holy shit he is a beast.... gotta root for him.... they are botu to start the 4th quarter right now against LSU

38-20 ou....no matter how good mizzou is, they always wet the bed against OU, bad matchup for them...opposite of how Wisky matches up against Ohio St..

I think OU, walks away with it...but they better not have a start like the Bucks did against Wisky...

not at all he is in miami so we played it off line.. umm it was close untill the second he threw 3 picks and that sealed it.. after that he had to throw and i bent but didnt break.. my dline was doing a good job of shutting down his 250 pd hb.. that dude is a beast tho.. i would hate to see him in a year or 2.. but my offense rolled he wasnt ready for my option and it ate him alive.. my qb was efficent made no mistakes.. and we just ran the ball and the clock in the fourth for the w..
