Yeah man I think you were for some reason left out when we reset the OD. We went back to Week 7 because for some reason it wouldn't let any of us access it. So we shut it down and reset it at Week 7, this morning Ax noticed you were missing thought you'd quit and I was like... no he's still in? He told me you caught an L and I was like fucccck. Sorry bout that bro.

MISS 49 MID TENN STATE 14

It was a sad day in Mid Tennessee, they were out ran, out passed, out defended and just dominated throughout the course of four quarters of football. Their lone spark of offence came as Ben Cunningham hauled in a 75 yard TD catch that was just result of blown coverage. They also scored by way of a pick six when Ray Cotton had his game ended early in the first quarter.

Backup QB Jamie Pierce (Senior) came in and managed the game about as well as the Rebels have seen somebody play QB since Coach Macc. Pierce made his case today that he should be the starter going 13/19 192 yards and 2TDs, one on a brilliant line rope gun to Trey Talbot - whose steadily becoming one of the best targets in the nation. Trey caught for 87 yards on 6 catches and 1TD today but it was the way he made his catches that made everyone in the stadium wonder, what?

"Jamie proved to us today that he can come in and lead our offence exactly like we need. He will remain the starter for the rest of the year and Ray will back him up when he returns from injury. Jamie's arm strength, accuracy and overall awareness out there make him too good to be sitting on the bench. Part of playing QB at the college level is competition and Jamie certainly showed us the type of QB we'd like this year. Marc's making it easy taking a lot of pressure off with our high powered running game so we just really need Jamie to step up and throw and that's what he did for us today," Macc said.

Marc Payne took POTG honours with 220 rushing yards on 26 carries and 5TDs. Payne is a Wildcat specialist but also loves to run up the middle and despite his blazing speed, he has the ability to drag would be tacklers for the extra 5 yards almost every time. He is very explosive and certainly gives Ole Miss a solid idea of what the future running game will be like.

Honestly, I simmed the entire fourth quarter. I had Marc sitting as #3 behind my two backup RBs and for some reason he got in the game during the sim and added a score and went over 200. Not sure how or why but thought you all should know!!

Bearcats Beat Cards, 52-3

2012 Week 8 Discussion - Page 2 991a0014

Loisville, KY-- Senior Runningback Darrin Williams today rushed for a career high 149 yards with two touchdowns and also had 53 punt rturn yards and a 90 yards kick off return for a touchdown to lead The Cincinnati Bearcats to a convincing 52-3 win over the Louisville Cardinals today.

"It's hard to believe that is his best rushing performance cause he has always been such a threat on the ground as well as a phenominal special teamer", commented coach Clevmire1 when asked about (Darrin) Williams performance.

Cincinnati had there way with the hapless Cards defense all day running the ball all over them. True Freshman Donnell Davis's reputation will continue to grow after another good performance, he finished 14 for 19 with 206 passing yards and 3 touchdowns and also 50 yards rushing on 11 carries.

Despite a slow start to the game the fearsome Bearcats defense also played well. After allowing 191 yards in the first half they got stepped it up to finish the game allowing only a fieldgoal and 223 yards on the day.

As usual defensive end Joe Robinson was a standout with 5 tackles and 2 quarterback sacks.

The Bearcats come up against the overachieving Syracuse Orange next week looking stay at the top of the race for the BIG EAST with a win.

Man the sliders are pretty tough now. I threw 4 ints and 3 last week. it does make the games more interesting. The one thing that kills me is the DE from Michigan caught my RB who has like a 93 or 94 speed from behind. And i did notice that the blockers dont block as well on kick returns now. But i do like the sliders and im not to crazy about stats i just go for the W so im cool with em.

LSU 12 Auburn 14

Great SEC battle, as 5-1 LSU visited Jordain Haire for a battle with #13 ranked Auburn Tigers....

Behind a stout War Eagle defence, which wouldn't let the LSU Tigers get into the endzone til the final minutue of the game, and scored a pick 6 to put Auburn up early there would be very little offence in this game...Auburn kicker missed a chip shot FG, and a 40 yard that would have put the game away with 2 minutes left...LSU defence was up to the task, only allowing one Auburn scoring drive early in the 2nd qt as T Parrish hooked up with AA TE T Francis setting up a 1 yard run by FB Lott...Auburn was trying to put a two minute drill together to end the half and extend the lead but Parrish was picked off, and the LSU FS which lead to a LSU 2nd FG of the half...we would end the half Auburn up 14-6...

Both D were very stingy in the 2nd half, and after the Auburn missed FG with two minutes, LSU drove the lenght of the field and on a beautiful screen pass down to inside the 5 leading to a LSU TD run to make the score 14-12...
Only a two point conversion stood in the way of what looked to be certain overtime...but the War Eagle run blitz stuffed the attempt, and the onside kick was recoved to ice the game...next week Florida in the SWAMP!
