Murphy might be the defensive tackle in the Class of 2018 with the highest ceiling. He is not as technically advanced as some of his classmates, but he is physically ahead of nearly all of them with his size, quickness, power and leverage. It's tough to find an area for improvement for Murphy, other than what ever player can work on, technique and strength. The total package at defensive tackle. Scott Kennedy - Scout.com.
Biography:
Murphy was named FSWA All-State First Team 1A, Mobile Register's Super Southeast 120 (#14), and selected to the Under Armour All-American Game.
Murphy is a dominating defensive tackle prospect that recorded 26 sacks and 108 (84 solo) tackles with 20 for a loss as a junior.

Powell runs and blocks like a bull in a china shop, he destroys whatever is in his path. He hits the hole quick and is very light on his feet for such a big back, he cuts just as well as most small backs. Once he hits the seem he has very good breakaway speed and switches the ball to the outside arm. He is a devastating lead blocker. Would like to see him run a little lower through the the line. Bob Lichtenfels/Scout.com
Biography:
Powell carried the ball 133 times for 1447 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior. On defense he made 53 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, sacked the quarterback five times, had three interceptions and forced three fumbles. He was named Player of the Year by both the Newark News Post and the Gazette and also earned first-team All-Area, All-Conference and All-State honors at running back. He was named second-team All-Pacific at running back as well.
He bench presses 432 pounds, hang cleans 360 pounds, squats 300 pounds, has a 34-inch vertical leap and runs a 4.52 short shuttle.
Head Coach Rick Conner says:
Bobby is an outstanding college football prospect. He's big, fast, powerful and he loves the game. Bobby started on both sides of the ball the last two years as a running back and linebacker, a tribute to his natural ability. What separates Bobby from others is his athletic agility combined with his size and speed. He’s very versatile and can fill many roles. Bobby made a great jump in performance from last year to his junior year. He put himself at the top of the list in California and has become a national recruit. He can dominate a game on either offense or defense. Offensively, he can wear you down with his power or he can score on one play with his break-away speed from anywhere on the field. Bobby is very familiar with college athletics as both his parents were scholarship athletes. (His mother ran track for North Carolina and his father played nose guard for Virginia Tech.)

The Beavs Have signed their 9th recruit of the 2018 season.
Richard Brown SS 6'2 212lbs, Buena Park, California 4**** 10th ranked SS
Richard Chose Oregon State over Florida and Oregon
Richard has been timed at 4.58 running the 40 and maxes out at 390lbs on the Bench Press, and 330lbs on the squat.

Pos: S Pos Rank: #10 Pos Rating: ****
Scout.com Player Evaluation:
STRENGTHS
Anticipation
Burst Out Of Breaks
Closing Speed
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT
Backpedal Quickness
Brown is as good as it gets at the safety position. He can run, jump, cover, hit, he is just an all around player that fits naturally in the position. He has savvy and instincts beyond his years.
Biography:
Analysis by Baron Flenory Jr. - Midland Regional Manager
Playing his high school football in California, S Richard Brown has not received the hype that he deserves and that probably won't change considering the fact that he has recently ended his recruitment by committing to Oregon State. And while hardcore recruitniks tend to move once a player commits, it should be known that, though he may be out of sight and out of mind, you will be hard pressed to find a better safety in this years class.
STRENGTHS
Patience/Anticipation: Brown takes his time. He is never in a hurry or rushed. He reads his keys and gets to where he needs to be. When watching Brown, I was blown away by his initial reaction to the ball being snapped; he bounces. That may not seem like a huge deal but it is. It is the difference between a 5 yard gain and a stop at the LOS. If you give ground or backpedal immediately when the ball is snapped (before reading your keys) you give guards time to pull, tackles time to get to the second level, and holes time to open. By bouncing you are closer to the action. Football is a game of inches and Brown takes away your inches.
Change of Direction: Brown does a good job of playing with good pad level which helps him in and out of his cuts. Also, his patience seems to keep him under control. It looks as if he is gliding at times because he moves and changes directions so effortlessly.
Burst Out of Breaks: Piggy backing on his pervious strength, Brown explodes when he changes directions.
Closing Speed: WOW; pretty much sums it up. When you combined Brown's body control in his change of direction, his extreme acceleration when getting in and out of his breaks, and his top end speed, you get a player that can run down almost anything. He runs the alley like a pro. It is truly awesome to watch.
WEAKNESS
Backpedal Quickness: Brown doesn't have a smooth quick backpedal. He is more of an open and run player. He will need to work on playing from a back pedal so that he doesn't open his hips and commit himself when in man coverage. There will come a time when he won't be able to bounce and catch and carry a route. The more comfortable he is in a backpedal, the better off he will be down the line.
STATS
2016 (So.) - First team all-district after racking up 105 tackles.
2017 (Jr.) - Earned AP second team all-state honors while garnering 114 stops, four picks, three forced fumbles and two recoveries, helping lead Buena Park to the 4A state semifinals.

1. JUCO Jared Martin OG 6'4 375lbs 5*****, Union City, California

Strength
Bailey is deceptively quick in and out of his breaks. He is an outstanding route runner. He is a very competitive player that often leads by example and has a very strong desire to win. He possesses an outstanding frame, just needs to fill it out and add more muscle mass. Has a knack for making the spectacular catch. Very solid weapon in the red zone.--Bob Lichtenfels/East Recruiting Analyst
Biography:
Brett Bailey caught 41 passes for 655 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior. He says he can bench 265-pounds, squat 310 and claims a 39-inch vertical jump.
Final senior (14-1) stats: 27 catches for 12 touchdowns and eight punt returns for scores
Bailey plans to major in business management and reports a 2.6 core GPA and a 15 ACT, which he is retaking in December.
Bailey: “I run great routes. I have good footwork. I’d say I’m pretty quick and I kind of compare myself to Chad Johnson (Chad Ochocinco, star wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals). I approach the game like him and try to go for everything.
“I want to get stronger and bulk up. I think that would help me taking on bigger defensive backs. I also want to be more physical fighting for the ball.”

One of the most instinctive players in the country, Baker isn't usually the biggest or fastest player on the field, he's just usually the best. He has the knack for being in the right place at the right time, and adjusts well to a ball in the air. He's a physical safety that is excellent in run support as well. He lacks ideal measureables, but seems to make a play whenever he's needed - Scott Kennedy, Scout.com
